Haney is the absolute No 1 P4P contender to the man who would be King. he looked huge in there from the opening bell. It looked like the other guy was moving up.
No risks, maximum % chance of landing when he throws, A.I level ring instincts - heavy heavy shots crashing in …this guy is an absolute nightmare. I can’t think of any fighter who would defeat him just now, except one - he’s got to face Terrence Bud Crawford - the only man who could beat him.
though Teo and Tank would be fantastic fights if made.
What an ace writer Don McRae is, he gets to the heart of the matter ( read his terrific book dark trade )
Going out and finding the incredibly brave Regis in the parking lot.. what a great person and great fighter Regis is, but damn, he was outclassed last night.
One of those ever recurring near super fights, where you suddenly realise that one guy is amazingly, just on another level.
Eddie Hearn what a snake

Regis is not top drawer. He struggled with the footwork of Zorilla in his previous fight and Terry Flanagan gave a good account of himself. He's overrated because of the Taylor fight. Taylor is also overrated. I'm not sold on Haney still. I'll be looking to oppose him at the bookies in the big fights.

Haney was great last night. What a defence. Most commentators have incorrectly commented on the lack of number of scoring shots Prograis threw but that's ultimately missing the point, you can't throw a right cross or even a left jab if you end up countered.
If he does fight Crawford, I will go, even if it is in Saudi (despite my moral concerns about the country) as it's the Fight of our generation.

What did Eddie do?
He was Regis best bud when he signed him, sided with Haney in the build up, then forgets Regis name in the after fight press conf, called him Devin.

Haney delivered as absolute boxing lesson to Prograis. Prograis just couldn't get to grips with Haney at any point during the fight.
I normally feel like I'm wasting my time watching a bout involving Haney but the skill and precision on show against Prograis were impressive.
I don't think Teofimo would let Haney box circles around him and that's a fight we should all get to see.
Boxing is a cruel sport because i get the feeling Prograis has just become yesterday's news.

prograis was so bad the previous fight against a C level version of haney's style, i thought dani zorrila defo beat him. thank gawd i decideed to watch the arguable foty with the huge finish instead. this had wide boring haney decision all over it. tbf i did enjoy loma-haney, but you had to know haney was going to box this way having seen prograis's last fight

haney is really good and i appreciate his ability, but i think some of yall are overrating the win slightly. did you see how awful prograis was against exactly this style his last fight? he could barely land a punch against C level dan zorrila, even with a kd
i had him losing by multiple points. haney was obviously gonna dominate an uneventful fight with reeg plodding forward, which is why i didnt bother him

two fights in a row prograis landed under 10 percent of his punches per compubox. vs zorrila they had the least combined punches landed in title fight history for a 12 rounder.
prograis was even 0 out of 43 in a round!

Prograis was similarly awful last fight vs Zorilla though - he landed at an even lower percentage. Espinoza landed more punches in round 12 vs Robeisy Ramirez than Prograis landed all fight vs Z or haney.
haney is really good for sure, but when prograis is also putting in those numbers vs C level guys, there's more to it...

Prograis Taylor is still one of my favourite fights ever. Both dug really deep and produced the performance of a lifetime.
Taylor looked great against Ramirez but you could argue they were both never the same. Teo and Haney now both have a piece of that puzzle, would you say? Or am I overthinking?
Big respect to Haney draining himself for so long and performing to that level at 35 cos it seemed like that 5 pound meant a million dollars last night.
We’re in a good little era now yno!

What a memory - Taylor v Prograis. Every punch and movement a thing of beauty just like Barrera v Morales.

I’m not surprised Prograis looked clueless in there. He was probably wondering why the lightweight moving up was nearly a stone heavier than him & hitting like a super middleweight. Haney was 165 pounds in the ring, unbelievable, quite literally
