8 fights, never been the distance, never fought a fellow Brit, the 3 fighters with winning records are all from Tanzania
So, do you think a pro journeyman is better than a knockover?
Obviously I get how spectators can get frustrated by negative fighters but prospects need rounds, no two ways about it.
I respect you as a poster and more so as a former pro, but I gotta disagree. Contests where one guy is trying his best not to win is not a contest at all. It ain't right. In other countries you never see a guy with a 6-114-5 record. Prospects in those countries get rounds. We just make excuses for this bullshit. It ain't right.

What a fight that was, some turnaround from Rafferty, Turner was putting in a career best showing, soundly outboxing Rafferty, tagging him repeatedly with left hands and constantly befuddling him with his movement, Rafferty couldn't get close and Turner was in total control until the 8th when he just unravelled, Rafferty hurt him with a body shot and that was the beginning of the end, Rafferty sensed it and went to town on him, by the 9th Turner was spent, Rafferty had him backed up on the ropes putting a beating on him, he hurt Turner with a right to the body then a left, Rafferty battered thr body before Turner collapsed to the canvas, didn't think he'd get up but fair play, good call by the corner he had nothing left, some man Rafferty

I was with the judge that had Turner 4 up.
It was easy to score - Turner winning rounds clearly on skills... until he wasn't. Great come from behind victory.
Not many sports where you can come from 6-2 down like that.
Quidditch I suppose..
Laughable scorecards , how the hell could you see that level ?
The mind boggles , anyway scorecards mean nowt .

He steadied Turner with a body shot in either the 6th or 7th and Comms missed it, must be so hard keeping up the constant movement style and as proved absolutely draining.

I definitely get what you are saying, but fighting a tomato can is much less of a contest.

Henry Turner just got beat because he didn't have the rounds under his belt.

Looking at that Arrowsmith fella, he gave his opponent a decent fight, and that was much more beneficial and entertaining than a fella who falls over.

Fighters who get stopped get their licences taken off them, so the vast majority of British pros are good fighters.

People look at the statistical record and just assume the fella is hopeless

If Arrowsmith was matched against fighters of his own level, he would prob fight 4 times a year and have a 50% record.

He earns his money the hard way, I'm sure he earns well but I don't begrudge him a penny of it.

You can't fight Ball on the inside, easier said than done but you need to keep him at length and get the jab working

Ball is dirty, though, Uses his shoulder, throws opponents into the corners.

ball is dirty indeed, i was befuddled when people got after vargas so much for their fight without seemingly noticing ball constantly elbow, hit behind the head, push the head back, wrestle, etc

tough little dude though
