Yes mate there’s a round by round. Bam is quality but I do agree that the commentary have given Martinez zero credit for anything he’s put together.

What I loved about this fight was the willingness from both men to fight on the inside, didn't tie or hold much, ref barely involved

I love a bit of head shoulders knees and toes, little bumps to clear the space. Haney is great at it but can’t being smothering at times.

Enjoyed this card a lot so far

A valiant effort from the Maidstone man

It was a very good fight and Noakes never gave up despite having to weather some dicey moments.

Sam may have come up short against a clearly talented young boxer, but can return home with his head held high.

Something else that we saw from Sam Noakes is that he didn't look nervous at any point on the biggest stage and looked like he really enjoyed the experience (apart from the obvious damage sustained).
He can really come again at this level.

Noakes clearly has his head screwed-on right.

Both Mason & Noakes made a fan out of me. Reminded me a lot of Ball - Ford. Both fighters put on a great spectacle & came out of it with loads of credit

Thought they were both fantastic. As tough and gutsy as Noakes was, it says something about Mason that he put on a performance like that aged 21

Could be in some crackers with Davis, Stephenson and Cruz in the same division

While Noakes is obviously as tough as nails, it looks to me that Mason will develop more power as he gets older.

Abdullah Mason came through a firefight to snare the vacant WBO lightweight title.

The Cleveland youngster, 21, battled through 12 hard-fought rounds with England’s Sam Noakes in a fight of the year contender to improve to 20-0 (17 KOs) in Saudi Arabia.

Afterwards, Mason told Boxing Social: “It feels great, definitely a great fight, I went the distance and it was a tough fight for it. He was definitely a tough opponent, he was what I expected, durable coming forward and trying to walk through everything, so we got the job done.”

It was the first time Mason had to go the distance in nine fights, a run that saw him stop everyone since having to go six rounds against Colombia’s Cesar Villarraga in 2023.

In defeating Noakes, Mason became boxing’s youngest current beltholder.

“I fought his fight, me sitting there, I tried to force it and if I let him come to me, I would have been able to catch him with cleaner stuff and catch him coming in, but we got the job done,” Mason added.

“I’m getting a lot of experience, next fight we’re going to come out even better and better after that."

Probably. It was a proper old school donnybrook.

It proved a lot to me about Mason. I thought he'd either win early or Noakes would win late.

Sam deserves a bit of a break then an easier fight in Spring then who knows.......?

If Cordina wins maybe they can get some kind of secondary belt between him & Noakes. That would be a good summer fight in Cardiff.
