JP was in spoiler mode and AJ was in no real rush early rounds.

Obviously not vintage AJ but he will raise his game when required

JP showed balls and chin, let him and Jai fight :)

Tyson Fury vs Ngannou was a mismatch on paper only, when they stepped in the ring it wasn't a mismatch. Plus Ngannou being a Former Heavyweight Champion in UFC with many fights there, he may not have been a Boxer, but he was a Professional Fighter.

Usually when a famous fighter from another Combat Sport dabbles in another, he goes for a lucrative, high profile match right away because that's usually the only reason why they'd try the other sport to begin with.

Most fighters start their careers with mismatch, mismatch, mismatch, mismatch, mismatch, mismatch, mismatch, mismatch before ever trying to take on a tough opponent.

When you sum up almost anyone's career, there's usually more mismatches than there were competitive bouts on their record.
Only reason it wasn’t a mismatch was how awful Fury was. Huge blackmark for boxing that was. One paper it was as bad as Mayweather vs McGregor and the only reason it wasn’t as one sided was not because Ngannou was particularly good or even surprisingly good it was how awful Fury was. In reality it was like Dave Allen beating Fury.

All that did was give Ngannou and some fight fans a false sense of security with how good he was….and he was humbled the next time.

That fight and to some extent this fight hasn’t really help the view that this era of heavyweights, one nearly 40 year old cruiserweight aside, is absolutely piss poor.

This era of Heavyweights is one of the best of all time in my opinion. Fighters from previous eras never struggled against an MMA Champion in a Crossover bout because there wasn't an MMA Champion to struggle against.

If MMA had existed for 140 plus years the same as Boxing, you can bet your ass there'd have been many more such crossover bouts, and GASP...The MMA guy would actually win sometimes. Just like a Boxer can sometimes beat an MMA guy in an MMA match.

A fight is a fight. It all depends on the opponent, and what strengths and weaknesses they're bringing into the match.

Saw a clip of Jake being interviewed today and he said his boxing career could be over if his jaw doesn’t heal properly as it’s still not right, he’s awaiting a consultation with his doctor to see what he advises.

jake paul has done amazingly well for himself in boxing for a guy with no amateur career. i guess having the money and name to plan your career pretty much how you want helps!
