Then why do we get all londoners and people from otherplaces in the Uk coming up here then? :PNah man, the women in scouse-land look like they've been dipped in Ronseal, Manchester has a more earthy mix
Cheap booze and cheaper women.Terence wrote:Then why do we get all londoners and people from otherplaces in the Uk coming up here then? :PNah man, the women in scouse-land look like they've been dipped in Ronseal, Manchester has a more earthy mix
Listen to this man as these aregoldy words!Kevo wrote:I don't know why people go on about scouse birds all being bright orange. It's no worse here than any other major city. Take a trip round Concert Sq. one saturday night, and marvel at some of the best birds Liverpool has to offer, in very short dresses. Hurrah!

I have been out in Liverpool its good but I dont see how you can compare it to London. Liverpool's nightlife is centred around a pretty close proximity wheras in London there are various good spots spread across the whole city the choice is almost endless. You could go out to a different decent place every Friday & Saturday for the whole year and never go to the same place twice.Max Molyneux wrote:Try coming down here and you'll see what a nightlife is!nickd wrote:Ministry is a load of wank, how is that the best example of a London club?![]()

Liverpool's night life isn't centred like that lately. Clubs are being built alot around Liverpool latley.nickd wrote:I have been out in Liverpool its good but I dont see how you can compare it to London. You seem to be quite a jet-setter.... :) :)Slapsie Maxie wrote:I find the nightlife in NYC profoundly moribund at the moment. Now Chicago is a much better town for that sort of thing, if you are young enough to still want it
Mid-range restaurant is all I can - or want to - afford. If you don't have decent mid-range restaurants you don't have a decent food culture, no matter how exquisite your 100 pounds plus places are. In my experience, eating well an affordable in London is possible but it normally means looking for an Indian or a Chinese place.London remains the best city in the UK for restaurants and bars where you can get a proper martini. NYC has a better level of mid range restaurants, though at the very top end, they are about the same.
Guess I've grown out of that stuff, thus I need to leave it largely to you. While living in London (1995-99) I was a couple of times in the Cross Bar (great place) and in the Limelight (so so, the girls are just too young there for a guy around 30)As for clubs where young folk sway disconcertingly to what can only be described as the sound of someone bashing a dustbin lid, I would not have a clue. More of a fan of Frank Zappa myself, but I suspect that would not go down to well at Fabric. Although I hear the young ladies do ( go down well, that is )
I remeber the place as "Cross Bar", but I may well be wrong - after all its' 7 years that I lived there. The place is in King's Cross Road or perhaps in Pentonville Road; coming from Gray's Inn Road you pass the entrance to the King's Cross Thameslink station on the right and it comes immediately therafter. It's not "The Cross" though (where I've never been). On weekends the place got pretty packed, but for a good reason - 1a music.nickd wrote:Do you mean The Cross club? Great place, gets a bit cramped when they pack it out though. Egg in Kings Cross is similar but a bit more spacious and has decent air con. If going out and getting bug eyed is your thing you cant go far wrong in those 2 places. Best of all the bouncers pretty much let you get on with it at Egg i.e. not hassling you or following you into the khazi etc.

That's hilarious!!
Handselected, mediocre opponent.![]()
Should have fougth Kessler for a real challenge instead of ducking him.
But Calzaghe won't school Lacy. The most one could expect is that he slaps slaps slaps Lacy into submission a la Mitchell.
Cheers,
