how long ago was magee?!?! Stop using that, boxers improve, if anything its a good thing what happened because hatton was able to learn how to deal with an uphill climb. Being the tacticious and clever boxer that ricky is, he would have known that magee posed problems and learned how to fight against that style in the future, so if anything its experience. People really do pull the hatton excuses out of the bag dont they? theres always something ridiculous

Question to those who have seen this fight.

Is Floyd going backwards.... I have to say I thought he didn't look as quick vs Mitchell and to lose a fair few rounds (albeit to a fight as quick and as skilled as Judah) doesn't sound Floyd esque to me.

Stu I posted a link to it in the other thread I started check it out.

Is PBF going backwards? Don't think so, he didnt look as quick/sharp/accurate as he did against Gatti but hes fighting Judah who has some of the best speed and reactions in the business from a southpaw angle. Judah also has 1 of the best attacks. Fast southpaws dont suit Floyd.

PBFs defense was fantastic (but he got tagged hard with straight lefts) and I only gave Judah the 2nd, 4th and 12th. PBFs chin was truly tested more than ever before - he took Judahs hardest shots and Judah can bang - as hard as tyszu?

PBF had to walk Judah down and throw combos to land - this is not his game so he had to change his style. He couldn't do this aswell as he can move and counter.

I really enjoyed watching this fight, great speed and skill from both fighters. This is 1 of the best versions of Judah we've seen.

I don't buy the theory if Zab kept what he was doing for 12rounds he would of won - I think PBF figured him out.

Lol Maxboxing's "The Next Round" programme spouts the biggest crap I've ever heard. They are never happy. Listen to this week's version.

Boxing fans are never happy, that's why fighters like Floyd and Roy Jones, think fornicate being a great. They just make as much money as possible while all their critics are still getting up everyday struggling to live good.

There's just no pleasing some people.

Floyd just seemed to be in no rush. I mean it did look like he was having trouble with Zab in the first few rounds, but nothing to worry bout, more just feeling him out. After the fight he said that was their plan all along, to just let Zab do what he wanted, feel him out a bit, and then take him to pieces. Of course it's an easy thing to say in retrospect - but Floyd genuinely maintains they had a game plan and stuck to it for the whole fight. Mind you... Zab said he didn't mean to hit Floyd low. :TU:
