From what i understand about all this, its a pretty lousy way to go about things, no?

Right, enough of that, here is an excerpt from a sitcom i've been writing, i dont have a title as of yet

The scene is of a father and his son sat out on the docks

Son: "Why we sitting here Daddy, watching the ships coming in then going out again?"

Father: "We were ordered to son, now accept this spanking."

Son: "Accepting...accepted. Discipline +5"

Father: "There's a good boy. Now it's time to follow the orders of another song, Sacrifice, by Elton John."

Son: "Hurrah, I love you Daddy!"

*Dies*

Robert Lindsay is already attached to play the father

after reading the emails i can only say that i hope ben bounces back from this ok - there is no reason he shouldnt.

he's an honest, hardworking bloke and his well-written pieces are always a joy to read.

for once, spud seems blameless too.

you cant be blameless if you started the whole thing off with a knee jerk internet rant condemming the actions of a boxing promoter. if the thread had not been posted then the incident would have been sorted by the individuals via a more personal mode than world wide exposure.

Rhino,

You rant on about Spud posting about you being the initial catalyst for the dispute. However, if you recall, Spud did not mention anyone’s name in that initial posting. All I can say is if the cap fits!

How boring life must be for you to instantaneously know it all without being directly involved and in receipt of all the facts to enable you to make an informed decision and posts that are actually relevant to the real issue behind the dispute and where the blame ACTUALLY lies.

I know Spud and Ben, (Ben more-so) and the exact circumstances of events and IMO you are allowing history to distort your current opinion.

I am sure in time, you will be privy to the information that will exonerate both Ben and Spud and change you personal opinion on a few individuals and in turn make you look foolish for all the posts you have put about Ben and Spud. You have been exceptionally critical of Spud and his behaviour, yet your behaviour is no different!

Ben and Spud worked hard to get the forum and the site off the ground. You openly criticise them now, yet you were happy to become part of the forum. Talk about double standards.

In the meantime, have you looked up the definition of Rhino:

Greek root meaning "nose" - something you appear to have in everything - even when it does not really concern you.

Rhinoceros: massive powerful herbivorous odd-toed ungulate of southeast Asia and Africa having very thick skin and one or two horns on the snout - good job you have thick skin isn’t it!

The Rhino is a comic book supervillain in the Marvel Comics universe, and an enemy of Spider-Man. Physically, he is one of Spider-Man's strongest foes with his favoured attack being ramming into a target with a sustained charge. He is also not very bright, and thus not too difficult for the wall-crawler to best.

Have you seriously thought about changing your user name?

Hey,

Firstly I think I need to re-introduce myself properly and I sincerely apologise if I have mislead anyone into believing I was anyone else.

My name is Ann-Marie. I am engaged to be married on 9th August 2008 to Ben Carey. We have three beautiful children, with our latest addition of our beautiful son William.

I do not know a great deal about boxing, but I know that Ben was honest and sincere and believed in his site and his princilples. However, whatever water has passed under the bridge, from my perspective, I have seen the hours that Ben has put in (and myself whilst on maternity leave) to the ensure site's success.

Rhino, I do not know the history behind yourself and Ben, but I am deeply disappointed at the comments you have made and think it is sometimes best practice to keep your opinionis concealed until you are armed with all the facts. (Information I hope Ben will provide you with, as I feel you have been caught in the crossfire and are maybe also owed some type of explanation!).

With regard to Spud, he has always been very complimetary and courteous towards me and a true friend to Ben - a commodity which is hard to find these days. I believe Spuds heart is in the right place despite clearly upsetting a few people, he has a true passion for the sport and is a man of his own principles and you always know exactly where you stand with him, unlike some other people I have had the displeasure to acquaint. Dont ever change Spudly!

Having worked behind the scenes with Ben previously at events (with the biggest to date being the Hatton v Maussa) at Sheffield, I have experienced irate press people who think they are more important than the next guy and worthy of a better seat. A particular person who I recall very vividley was Steve Bunce, who was extremely rude to me on this occasion, yet since our initial meeting has taken the time to email Ben directly and praise him on UKBP.

To support Ben, I embarked on a photography course to become a dedicated photographer for UKBP. On 13th April, I got my first break as a photographer with UKBP at the Jamie Moore show - promoted by Frank Maloney. When I entered the ringside, the photographers already in place were exrtemely protective of their places and unwilling to move up to allow me in to fulfil the role in which I had been approved. I came away without any credible shots and a wasted evening.

Back to the true issue at hand, Suzanne Nield. Due to the risk of legal action, Ben was restrained from publishing Suzannes article which was quite slanderous and critcal of Frank Maloney, James Russell and the whole event at Wembley.

Therefore, Ben has been unable to publicise his account of events. However, Frank does not control the seperate issue of personal e-mails that Ben received from Suzanne. One in particular was extremely unappropriate:

Suzanne Nield sent Ben an e-mail on 25th April 2007:

Hi Ben
That's terrific to hear, thanks for sorting that out
Boss.

I couldn't help but notice a discussion on the UKBP
forum about my name being a pseudonym???
Do people really think that? I've never written for
another website.

I was going to say that although I can't publish the
Eddie LLoyd article I'd be happy to send people copies
as some seem interested. I'll set up a separate e-mail
account to publish on the website if you like as I
don't want a load of spam. I'd also be happy for
boxers to contact me if they'd like a bit of press or
be interviewed. Do you think that might be an idea?

By the way Ben why don't you start using my personal
(private) e-mail *********@hotmail.co.uk

I'm working on Oscar's first belt tonight.
Suze

PS this is me Boss, snapped a week ago, I'm not Terry
Dooley in disguise, and are you on myspace by any
chance?

Obviously I can not divulge her address or photo as this is strictly personal information, however, it is clear from this e-mail it shows a very ambitious indiviual by whatever means necessary.

Since Ben sacked Suzanne from UKBP (Ben provided James Russell's e-mail address) her betrayal after seeing the email published on his own forum, I have contacted Ms Nield directly on this matter - who has declined to comment - for a change! A shame she did not learn the value of silence until the demise of UKBP!

I truley believe that her contribution to UKBP would have been sadly missed, however, her constant demanding of Ben's time through texts, emails or phone calls certainly will not. She was a huge infringement of our personal family time. In Suzanne Nields life, there is no-one more important than the pre-madonna herself. I certainly do not approve of her hitting on Ben, but acknowledge her capabilities as a writer - but as the saying goes - you dont shit on your own doorstep!

I now see she has jumped into Frank's camp. All I can say is I am delighted she has become some-one elses problem. Good luck with her Frank. You will come to appreciate that despite her fantastic input, the effort and demands from her to be constantly at her beck and call will far outway the bensfits - until she stabs you in the back too of course!

Despite what I have revealed above, Suzanne has shown her own character and clear desperation to get on. For a self proclaimed professional woman, how can she work for an organisation who have betrayed her and exposed her for the individual she is?

As for the other journalists who contributed to the site, I empathise with them completely. I agree that they should have had the opportunity to recover their work, steps which Ben is in the process of trying the retrieve. In hindsight he now appreciates that you guys may have wanted access to some of your work!

People can say of Ben and I what you wish, but I have tolerated endless loss of time due to Ben committing his time to the site, dealing with the journalists, with Suzanne in particular. Initially, I was very sceptical of the site, but became involved when it started to really take off and up to the date of pulling the site had received almost 2,000 individual visitors on a daily basis.

Ben is obviously very upset at the level of betrayal he has expreienced, but should Ben decide to ever reanimate UKBP I love him, trust him and would back him 200% as I always have done.

I know that Ben is both suprised and touched by the support he has received thus far, both publicly and privately. At the end of the day each and every one of you who read this thread will judge and establish their own opinion, that is the whole purpose of a forum, however, I am priviledged to know and share my life with such a wonderful man.

With kindest regards
Ann-Marie
