Liston's career doesn't.

I do notthink Seldon 'quit' I think he got hit with
a good shot against tyson. If I recall correctly
it landed nice and hard on the top of the head.
And a left hook like that just needs to find a piece
of the jaw to put a man on queer street.
The Ref stopped it, whther Seldon was 'that groggy'
or not, he could have stayed down and been
counted out if he wanted to throw it.

When you get hit HARD you do weird things.
Quitting may be one of those things, but some
times you can quit by going hell for leather too
knowing you will no doubt get tagged.

I know guys in MMA that go all out, hoping they
get sub'd early because it gives the perception
they are trying to win (they could get lucky),
becuase fighting a smart and longer term fight
is often harder to do and takes more out of you
against a top level guy.

But.. what ever the experts say I guess...after
all they know what goes on in the ring.

But to me, Seldon made a conscious decision to bail out ie quit.

That's fine by me. He was gonna get hammered and he knew it, so the fight was as good as over. But let's not dress it to be something it wasn't.

I'm a fan of Livingstone Bramble, but his 1st round KO loss to Shannon Taylor in Australia appeared to be a feinting spell, so to speak.
