It's the stuff of dreams really, he picks up the undisputed cruiser belts ( near enough ) in his final fight at the weight, then casualy hands them back and moves up to take on the heavyweights.

The type of thing you'd expect fighters of the calibre of Holyfield, Hearns and Leonard to do, not David Haye from London..

can people please stop talking about enzo, haye doesnt need the guy in the slightest, he now moves up to heavyweight. can't see him getting to the top there but he may have a chance against some of the weaker champs

Haye looks and fights quite a bit like Lennox. Apart from the knockdown, he had that methodical, almost negative, look but then showed that 1 punch power. Haye looked like Lennox to Mormeck's Holyfield, apart from the 2 good rds that JMM had. It was like a heavyweight vs a cruioser. 2 different sizes, 2 different paces.

Interestingly, Haye fights better vs big guys. He'd see Enzo's chin up in the air & take it.

Bottom line. Macca is a fit cruiser. Haye is a weight drained cruiser. Macca is a WBO champ. Haye is unified, WBA/WBC and Ring champ.

All praise Setanta for making the fight. Shame them for talking down this fight to make Enzo look good.

The only way Haye will fight Enzo now is at heavyweight. Listening to those post-fight comments there's no way that Haye will be fighting at cruiser again anytime soon. If the fight gets made it'll be in a year or so's time after Maccarinelli has tried to win some of the other belts at cruiser and Haye has established himself at heavyweight.

Braithwaite is not in the same class as Mormeck and even then Enzo could not stop him. Braithwaite didn't exactly look like he even wanted to win for most of that fight.
Mormeck didn't stop Wayne either. Enzo's points win was wider as well.

Well Haye wont be fighting Enzo at cruiserweight but Haye will be a world champ in the Heavyweight division with ease.

It felt like I was watching a dream Audley once had, where he was Ali...
Povetkin's taking down Wlad anyway...

Enzo v Haye would still be a massive massive fight no matter what. I really hope it can be made at a catchweight

Mormeck outclassed Braithwaite. Haye KO'd Mormeck. Shut up Sports Network schill.

Absolutely. I know it would make for a fight of all fights UK-wise, but (and I for one have had to change my tune) there's absolutely no chance of Haye staying at cruiser. Let Enzo call him out and then fight Calloway.

And whilst I agree Haye is going to be facing plenty of dangers at heavy, I am pretty confident he'll pick up a belt quite easily.

How are they going to fill up the next 40 minutes? Idle chat, a re-run of Calzaghe-Kessler or some more undercard action?

That right hand that caught Haye wasn't a massive punch. Seemed more of a graze. Bit worried about that. Still this is the third fight where Haye has been desperately hurt and came through and won.

Those body shots from Haye were essential to winning the fight and credit should be given for the work he put in. Then that devastating right hand finished the job.

Apart from the weak knock down, a brilliant fight from Haye, oh and that left hand needs to be right up. I know Haye uses it to get his opponent to open up so Haye can counter, but it's so dangerous. Then again JMM has to be the best in the division and Haye, more or less, took what Mormeck had to give.

Not sure about that, with that low left hand and questionable chin I think there's a good chance he'll get knocked senseless when a half decent Heavyweight lands a right hand on him.

I dunno, Lennox kept on the jab more first before unleashing big shots like Haye did. Lewis's left hand was higher as well.

Speed goes to Lewis as well.

Haye wouldn't of been so drained If he took better nutritional advice and didn't build the muscles too fast but now he can forget about that and go to heavy.

Good interview from Haye, fair do's to him for mentioning Maccarinelli with respect - suggesting that even if they don't fight at Heavy - Maccarinelli could and maybe would unify the Cruiserweight - with Haye gone.

Think people here are being a little harsh on Enzo - its a tough situation, Haye is the naturally bigger man... and fair play, he did say if the money is right he would fight at Heavy. Maybe an offer will be made at Cruiser that Haye couldn't turn down.

Haye's trouble is with the smaller guys who roll in. frago, mormeck. overcame crises to beat 'em both. he's better withtall foes like Gurov. Haye will be better as a heavyweight, for sure.

Apart from the fight, which was great, this was one big advert to make Enzo look good. The Sports Network influence is massive, and I hate to say this about Bunce, who I like, but he went crackers with Audley and now he's doing it for SN.

All tall boxers tend to have that bad habit. And of course, shorter guys usually keep their hands nice and high. Lewis never completely left his hand by his arse though; he'd just present an occasional target for the overhand right when trying to keep his man at range.

Only a fool would question Haye's desire, but he did look too much like Harrison for comfort at times.

Why harsh? He's using Haye's publicity to make his own name. I respect Enzo, I like wathcing him fight ALOT, but look at the guys he's fighting and listen to the things he says. He wasn't prepared to work his way to being Mormeck's mandatory, but he's denigrating both fighters. He's too close to the subject & can mislead viewers, IMO

Old version yes, though his best days were at 175 and that guy would have buzzsawed through DH.

That low left is asking for disaster, but he can still make waves at heavy, a match with Maskaev would be ideal.

Yeah Lewis did drop It at times but kept It more higher than Haye did and knew how to use his height and reach better. Footwork goes to Lewis as well.

Yeah good honest interview from Haye. It looks like he has to step up to HW given what he said ie. he had to pace himself because he was weight drained, he had nothing in his legs when he was put down, he couldn't punches together in the way he wanted etc. Only he knows himself what it feels like.

In light of that what a fantastic win for him. Great stuff Haye.

Well, most of the current heavies are pretty lumbering, so it's far from impossible. The Roy Jones which beat Ruiz could do something with most of the HW division now. :o
