Surprised Kristjansen didn't hold on at least or try to grapple and smother. A lot of European fighters i have noticed just cup the gloves around their faces and take the shots while trying to escape when in trouble. Must be the schooling, i would have expected him to be clinging on to Khan for dear life.

I thought that was a shit stoppage to be honest. Kristjansen was being bundled over really, Khan wasn't catching him with many clean shots and he didn't seem particularly hurt. Not impressed on that showing, I thought he was better last time out.

It looked more like 5 times to me and Mickey seemed to have to pull him off

Did you Brits see the Contender Season Finale? Sakio Bika hit Codnington several times in the opening round when he was down and didn't even get a warning.

I do think someone should have a word with him about that. There was no need for it.

On second viewing... that was worst than Jones vs Griffin for me. Credit for Kristjansen for not making the most of it... but he only would have been counted out - not won by a DQ.

Really bad show from Vann not to dock Khan a point.

The thing is, I don't see this WBO shot happening so soon.

Peterson is #1 rated, I believe. I had him down as the guy who would beat Juan Diaz one day, but right now he is raw material.

And Casamayor is WBO Interim, something he paid sanctioning fees for despite holding the holier-than-thou ring belt.

And Campbell - as far as I know - is still WBO champion.

Even if Campbell drops the belt Khan still may not be 1st in line by any means. It looks a real mess to me. Maybe the WBO should split their title in 2, like the WBA do with unified champs...then they can accomodate everyone.
