Witter could fight Ajose for the Commonwealth. I'd still watch Junior. He still can make a decent living from boxing.

Wiiter lost any small chance he had of getting Hatton... He did nothing to earn the decision last night (I had it 116-112, Bradley) and was listless at times...

He can still salvage something from the remainder of his career but I feel it no longer lies at World level based on last night...

Hatton is too good for either I feel.

Other than Mayweather/Tyszu no he hasnt, Bradley will go on to greater things, something that can't be said about the ancient fighters Hatton has fought

British Boxing lost!

Because Hatton can make up and excuse losing to Floyd or Tszyu, while he wouldn't have one losing to a guy who isn't a big draw.

Plus theres the stupid WW excuse too which Is because his skills are limited, not the size, he was still pushing Floyd and Callazo back, just they counter punched his head around.

This was the same Witter who fought Kotelnik but was lucky Kotelnik didn't do anything for the first 6 rounds and that he seemed to grinded It out more to get the Kotelnik win late.

Witter looked flat last night, as some mentioned, the heat may have contributed, but either way he lost! Some of the gloss has been taken off Bradleys win due to his blatant headbutting, some Christian he is!!


At least Bradley stepped up to fight Witter, Hatton was too scaewd to do it and after 8 years, Hatton has what he wants.

Well one thing is for certain people like Stuart Chambers, DG, myself and others wont be calling for the Hatton/Witter fight anymore. That situation has passed now with Witters defeat. They both claimed to be the best at 140 and Witter is no longer in the running for that title. Hatton still has to prove he is though, but for the moment his prayers have been answered and the pressure to fight Witter has dissapeared overnight. My personal score had Witter losing by three rounds with all the better stuff comming from Bradley who deserved the win. Not really sure there is a way back for Witter. If there was a rematch I think the result would be the same. I may be wrong but getting back to holding a world title again does seem a bit unlikely for Witter. British boxing has suffered a terrible blow just recently, lets hope Haye, Khan, Froch etc can keep out of this and keep winning.

DG, people often slate Hatton, but when you look at it at 140 pounds compare the two, Witter never beat a reigning World Champion to become one. He fought Corley who was a good bit past his best for the WBC belt, which made Witter rather than Witter being above the belt to get big fights. His best win was against Harris who had seen better days, hense his stoppage defeat by Maussa a couple of years before Witter fought him.

I'm not saying Witter was never a good fighter, as he is, but people slate Hatton who became a geniune world champion and you look at Witters run at the weight, I can't see how the two can be compared.

I think Bradley fought the perfect fight, he never rushed in to get countered by silly shots and fought a great fight timing when to stay off and when to get in. You can tell his amateur boxing background was at a high level and I wish him the best for the future.

If Hatton is not a true Champion at 140 why is he still the goal fight of all the belt holders at that weight, including Witter when he held a belt? .....now Witter has been beaten, Hatton if he gets past his next fight will face the now number 2 in the weight Paulie and I would like to see him fight Bradley after that should he come through these fights as I think Bradley is a good fighter who showed Hatton a lot of respect in the post fight Witter intervew. He never claimed to be the best at 140 yet, I think he would see Hatton as being the top still but he could turn out to be a very good champion at only 24 years old.

Witters problem could be, he's in the who needs him club. Without the belt, he may find it hard to get another crack unless they offer Bradley big money for a rematch or he gets himself into the mandatory again. At 34 years old, I don't see time on his side really. Maybe this could be the start of his decline.

Junior is scared of being tagged.
Bradley is just a guy who was in the right place at the right time - anyone who thinks he's particularly skillful is mad.

Mayweather would stop them all easily.

That would be true, but Mayweather is a Welterweight, this is the mix at Light Welterweight, I can't see Floyd ever going back to 140

He looks like hes fencing, you don't score points by tapping that lead hand out like a sword, Bradley was landing solid right hands over the top of it, that punch that sent him down was a peach of a shot. Witters style is never going to get better with age, I think we have seen the best of him to be honest now.

I like the style, just needs more workrate.

I like the Ingle style myself, don't get me wrong when Witter turns it on he looks very good at it, like against Ndou and his finish of Harris, very good to watch. But his fight against Corley was terrible to watch. What was all that snake like lead hands all about in that fight and again last night when at times he looked like he was having a fencing match rather than a boxing match. When Witter shines, he looks good, but when he's lackluster his style looks terrible I think.

If Witter fought Maussa and Urango he would have taken theor belts.

Collazo beat Hatton - no way did he do enought to take the |Champions belt.

Hatton is the CASH COW in the 140 division.

Hatton is not a true champ as he has ducked at least 5 fighters blatantly.

Hatton does nt fight the best fighters ( apart from PBF and that was for the money!).

Hatton wants the easy fights then will happily get mashed down for ££££s when he steps to the true elite level.

As I just said in another thread, the style has morphed, and what we saw last night was a poor version of it. The real Ingle style involves a lot of upper body and leg movement. Witter was stationary.
