You mean the way he fought in second gear against Gavilan in the first fight (in order to secure a title fight rematch for a bigger purse) and beat him handily in said rematch?

Please, tell me how you feel about it.

Hagler - Leonard was not a bad decision. I mean someone had to win...though a draw would have made everyone richer...but either way there would have been complaints...

I'm watching Norton vs Ali III for the first time now...I'll let you guys know when I'm done how I scored it. After 2 rounds I have it 1-1. 1st round Close for Ali, 2nd round clear cut for Norton.

I had it 10 rounds to 5 in favor of Ken Norton. I thought he clearly won the fight.

To be fair, it was pretty damn difficult to hurt Marvin Hagler.

This wouldn't be in my all-time worst list but I also felt that was bad decision.

Abdulhamidov-Shimizu, at the 2012 Olympics. That was the fight in which Adulhamidov went down six times in the last round and the ref waved it off each time, not giving a single ten count. Sure, the decision was overturned, but to give it to Adulhamidov in the first place was ridiculous. Apparently one judge even scored the final round 10-10. Judging by the long list of refereeing controversies on Wikipedia, I'm glad I didn't watch too much of the Olympic boxing, as it appears the whole thing was fixed. Those Olympics made me appreciate professional boxing more. The robberies in professional boxing are rarely, if ever, as blatant as they were in the 2012 Olympics.

As far as professional fights, Lewis-Holyfield.

Marvin Hagler

'It was a Las Vegas Decision'.

I agree...... :TU:
I had that fight a draw 114-114...it could've went either way.

Spot on.

I don't understand how a close fight can be considered a terrible decision either way.

A terrible decision is where the guy who clearly won does not get the decision.

Leonard -v- Hagler was a close fight however you look at it, so I don't think it really belongs in this thread.
