Firstly, the remarks to which I responded (and you subsequently responded E), along the lines of "if Bunce wants to do three-hour monologues he should do an Alan Bennet play" — that isn't criticism in my book, just a weak dig based on a total lack of understanding of the situation. No offence to ther fella. But how wrong can you get the situation?

THE SITUATION IS OF SETANTA'S DESIGN, NOT BUNCE'S. Bunce does not ring up Setanta and say "I fancy doing a boxing show and talking myself horse for three hours tonight, set it up for me." Setanta rings Bunce and he has to do his best within the format of the show THEY set up.

And I honestly don't think the situation between Bunce and Setanta is any more complicated that I've presented it E. The difference between Setanta and any other network's coverage is pretty clear — it is IMO very unprofessional and very shoestring. They never get their timings right for fight starts or clips to illustrate points, and quite often Bunce ends up directing the backroom while being on camera through comments such as "can we see a bit of that?". If there is a Sky show with, say, Johnny Nelson as the only pundit, the amount of airtime Johnny is given compared to the amount Bunce is given is far far less — and Johnny gets prompts from the presenter, which Bunce doesn't.

Criticising and commenting is fine E — I do it for a living, for Christ's sake. But I don't think people are grasping quite how shite a format it is that Setanta foist on Bunce. It really is a pig's ear and I think it's a bit unfair for Bunce to be criticised when no one on God's Green 'Un could do a better job of it.

But hey, that's only my opinion and it's good to swap opinions with people who care, that's why I come on here. It's fun, informative and interesting.

I actually thought that Piper made a better presenter than a pundit
