Is the consensus that I won the Echols point? The silence in response has been deafening.

What, that Echols had beaten Brewer before Brewer fought Calzaghe? It's definitely yet another case, pre Lacy, of the "big name" being slightly on the slide.
There was some controversy about Brewer getting stopped. Echols was supposed to fight Joe but didn't he pull out or was there some sort of contract dispute?
But I see the point, Brewer losing a fight between contenders & then getting a title shot.

Wasn't Echols the original choice of opponent before one of those bottom of the barrel title defenses. Pudwill or "Ceasefire" McIntyre?

Echols was never a good fighter anyway, no great loss for Joe.Just an extremely limited big hitter that took advantage of Brewer's glass jaw to get a dodgy stoppage.

A glass jaw Calzaghe hit stacks of times with precious little effect.
