If this is true then Freddie Roach has probably just figured lets put the lad in at the deep and and see if he can fight. If Khan is going to get KO'd it might as well be to a great.

The cynic in me wonders whether a possible 'lose two fights' clause in Khan's contract means an end to all the cash Frank has to pay Amir. He must be losing a lot of money on these ridiculous PPVs.

multiple world champ is a flexible term, and it will be news regardless of whom the "multiple world champ" will be.

the selling point will surley be the titles the said fighter has held, not the name value of the fighter himself.

I'll deffo go to see this one - definetly worth the price of a ticket. Barrera isn't shot, he's old no doubt, and not what he was a few years ago, but this is a seriously difficult fight for Khan. Barrera should definetely start a pretty wide favourite.

I'm going to do a poll about this, just out of curiosity. What percentage chance do you think this fight has of coming off? Right now I'd say 40%.

WOW, shocker, but if Khan is insistant on PPVs Barrera will help sell this 1 for them. I'm a huge Barrera fan but I'm betting on Khan here. Barrera is simply too small and weak in contrast to Khan. Barrera was small and weak at 130, he only went up there to fight Morales a 3rd time, at 135 against a huge LW at 35 its going to be too much. Then you have to remember Barrera has struggled with the faster fighters hes faced like Pacman and Junior Jones. At 35 and a natural 122lber Barrera will struggle with the pressure, size, new weight class. On the other hand I can see Barrera's defence and countering handling Khan's predictability

Khan carries significant advantages, but has massive discrepancies in experience and technique and that is a big leveller - make Barrera favourite, but not massively.
