What are you blathering about -the top fighter P4P is a mark of respect for the achievements of a fighter's career, and a recognition of their talents, not a bloody belt.

Yes but to be regarded as pound for pound best you need to build up a good succession of big/challenging wins over a period of time and Pacquiao has done that which is why I made the analogy with the football thing. Adding a load of belts at several weights is a bonus.To win a cup you need to win a succession of big matches, not just beat the favourite in a one off game. But come on, to compare Hatton's record and career achievements is laughable. Hatton has had a good career but they are not even on the same level. Look at the last 5 or 6 fights they have been involved in and argue Pacquiao hasn't had the tougher run but still come out smelling of roses.

People are saying "to be considered the true #1 p4p the winner of Pac/Hatton must fight Mayweather" err...........no because Floyd has been inactive for 14 months and is apparently retired so even if he did come back, he shouldn't be considered the #1 until he beats somebody dangerous and as we all know Floydy has never had any intention of fighting anyone dangerous.

He doesn't HAVE to fight Mayweather, he could fight Cotto, or Margarito, or maybe if he beat Bradley and a coouple of other decent fighters at 140.

If Hatton beats Pacquaio, it will because he is the naturally bigger man - if they were both the same natural size, I've no doubt Pacquaio would batter him, good as Hatton is, Pacman is better.

We saw how badly Hatton struggled with Collazo, and he outweighed Collazo on fight night.

But they are now the same size. Ricky is one inch taller and two less in inches compared to Manny. It's hard to gauge his weight because of his eating and drinking habits. But there's no more than 13lbs between them at walking weight if he stayed off the food and booze. And I'm being generous there.

Manny's walking weight is allegedly 147 to 150.

Oh come on mate, they are so clearly NOT the same size.

Manny started his career at bloody super flyweight! Manny may have bulked up with weight training, but Hatton is by far the bigger man.

Pacman has had two fights above super featherweight, one against a lightweight, and one against a badly weight drained Oscar.

If you believe what you're typing you are mental.

Hatton walks around at anywhere between 12 and 13 stone for christ's sake. Even if he wasn't a fat bast, he would still be 160 lbs plus walking around, he's a very thickset bloke with legs like tree trunks compared to Manny.

Everyone is getting well carried away because Manny beat Oscar.

Manny has a good chance because of his speed, power and offensive capabilities, not to mention his defence, but Hatton is the bigger man physically.

Just to put this into perspective.

What do you think Hatton would have done to a slow plodder like Diaz?
