Murnoe is more deserving of a shot at the WBA title against Dunne than Dunne was for a shot against Cordoba.
Anyway, Dunne's first defense is a voluntary one so he can fight who he wants really!

I honestly can't see Dunne fighting Kiko again. What if Kiko stops him again?
Why would they want to go back and address that, when Dunne has moved forward so far? In a fight he was hurt, proving he could survive and get the win...
I thin the main issue now is, who is The Man at 122-pounds? Most would say Vazquez though a strong case could be made for Caballero. Who is the least difficult to fight of the 2, who could - theoretically at least - be outboxed, outsped. Who gets sent to hospital every fight with busted nose, detached retina, numerous cuts? Tight at the weight also. Vazquez. Short, slow, but strong, powerful, awesomely persistent. Weighing it all up, Vazquez could be for the taking. In theory, Dunne has just the style to give Vazquez fits, and has shown world class toughness and composure also.
Is it worth the risk, Vazquez?
ha. slightly counterintuitive case you make mate but I can see where you're coming from. its that 'in theory....' clause that's the big problem. I would imagine Team Dunne would be understandably wary of the very practical and proven nature of Vazquez' one punch power.
if they did have a pop at him, i don't imagine it would eb before a couple of easier defences.

It's all for show, his offer was ludicrous by the way £150,000 for Dunne to fight in England, wtf!

what was the exact offer - did he offer Dunne £150k (or euros) to fight Munroe in Dublin/Englandshire?
Yes we have made an offer and will be senting it to Brain Peters today
"will be senting it to Brain"........... sounds like a Dutchman trying to speak English. I though you didn't try to make fights in public Frank?

Either way, one nil to Dunne and Peters - laugh it off all you like Frankie boy but Dunne's win is the equivalent of two fingers to you and your bin man.

very disrespectful.
two fights ago dunne was bleeding like a stuck pig vs some guy who was blown out by feather fisted (but good) bantam champ Haegawa. dunne didn't have any kind of upper hand then, when many felt he should have fought munroe. when the munroe fight was relevant.
munroe took the fight against martinez -that took some balls, no?
You are right, it took balls to fight Kiko after seeing what he did to Bernard - and Rendall exposed him not just once but twice! Hats off.
I think you will find that Rendall is very popular amongest Irish fight fans, sure whats not to like - tasty fighter, down to earth, working class man doing it for the lads! Frank has cultivated a cracking image for him and built a nice wee army of florecent jacketed supporters. The reason Rendall got boo'd was not because of anything he did but what Frank has done - noses were out of joint after Franks disparaging comments.
Frank gambled - Frank lost (this time) - lets see where we go from here.

Dunne's cuts will put him out for a while and probably put Dunne and Munroe on the same schedule, so unless Munroe fucks up in his Commonwealth title fight(which is unlikely unless Maloney brings in someone very tasty) then it could come next(well next for Dunne).
Bessey It's a lot more than what Witter may have got, but that's because Witter couldn't sell a £0.01 bottle of water to a group of dehydrated billionaires.
Dunne got close to 10,000 people for the World title fight and that figure will likely increase no matter who he defends against next.
So clearly there's a lot of money available for Dunne to fight in Ireland imo he could earn more than £150,000(I'm assuming this offer was in pounds not euro) defending his title. Afterall Maloney himself said Dunne v Munroe could do 30,000 in Ireland and that'd surely generate a lot of money for Dunne.
Now it is a very good offer of course, it would be Dunne's highest payday and it's not like he'd be going to the other side of the World either.
I'm just wondering is this a tactic by Frank to gain more than(or at least) £150,000 for Munroe to come to Dublin ?
Maybe it's not, maybe Frank really does want to try and get Dunne to fight Munroe in England, however while that offer is good I'd think it'd take at least £200,000 to lure Peters into a fight in England.
Question for you Frank, where would you see as the ideal location for a Munroe fight in England, Leicester, Nottingham ?, or somewhere with a high Irish population ?
Also how much do you reckon this fight could sell in England ?

The only place Dunne will fight other than Ireland now will be Vegas. I think he stated that he'd love to fight Vasquez in Vegas in the near future. You won't see him fight in England unless it is some sort of unification fight with a bigger draw that demands it there.
As for Dublin venues, whats bigger than the 02 but not too big? Without going outdoors, the 02 is about as big as you're going to get unless you go for a summer date in Phoenix park or the outdoor section of the RDS or something.

The power has shifted from Rendall to Bernard!
Big time - Dunne has so many options now, that I reckon any fight involving Rendall will simply for bragging rights, an English/Irish fight at the O2 and thus a purse of any description coming to the end of Dunne's top-flight career (however long it lasts) -- so Rendall may not even figure at that stage.

I agree, I would much prefer to see Dunne V Lontchi or Kratingdaenggym. I want to see him really challenge himself rather than go for the obvious choice of fighting Munroe.
I would like to see how Munroe's career pans out if this fight does not happen. It will be very interesting to see if Maloney is willing to take some risks with him.
