What do we reckon? Looking very strong to be fair. 12 fights and only 1 I'm not fussed about which is Sage V Marin. Buzzing for the headliner, Aldo Edgar 2 and Sanchez V Lauzon. Worried they'll put the latter as the headliner on Fight Pass to pull in subscriptions.

Hell of a card, no doubt. I might actually have to drop $10 on a 1-month Fight Pass subscription so I can watch the whole thing.

Actually, I'll do that 2 days prior so I can watch Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez.

Bisping/Weidman at MSG would be huge. I bet a good amount of English fans would fly over for that one.
Even if he isn't out for an extended period Jacare should get the shot before him. He was beaten convincingly in his last fight, he ended up taking a beating. In the UFC you shouldn't get a title shot coming off a loss like that.
I know it sounds like a bunch of excuse-making but I really think the Weidman/Rockhold result was a bit of a fluke. Weidman had retaken control of the fight in the 3rd round, and then he threw that ridiculous spinning kick and suddenly the fight was more or less over.

Plus I just think Bisping/Weidman is a good fight.

I can see a lot of people doing that. They'll make a killing on that week with PPV sales and Fight Pass subs. Not sure what the deal is with Lesnar though. I read it's just for 1 fight. Seems a bit pointless if that's true and like they've literally stuck him on there to increase buys with no plans for another run at the title.

I really think there was a time around 2009-2010 where Lesnar was the most dangerous HW in the world and would have beaten Fedor. But those bouts of diverticulitis more or less ended his career as an elite fighter. It wasn't just the recovery from multiple surgeries and the resulting physical deterioration, but as a guy who was already past age 30 and only had a few years of MMA experience (not including the amateur wrestling background) I think he missed out on critical training time that he needed to continue getting more comfortable in the striking game.

Now he's 38 years old, probably gone at least a few years without MMA training, and I'm relatively confident that Mark Hunt will put him to sleep.

I think Romero should get the next shot.

Good analysis. I think Hunt is a very dangerous fight for Brock, even back at his peak. He's not seasoned enough.

He pissed hot, otherwise I would agree with you. I understand he did it without knowing but he still gained an unfair advantage through cheating.

I agree with you about the stupid spinning back kick. Whoever told him throwing anything that involves spinning is a fornicating retard when he moves as slowly as he does but I don't think guy should get a title shot coming off a convincing loss, nor should they when coming off a loss and having just pulled out of a fight with an injury and Weidman does have a history of doing so.

The Jacare/Romero winner should've got the shot, Romero pissed hot after a razor thin(IIRC) decision leaving Jacare to get the shot and his win over Belfort should seal the deal IMO.

Wasn't it a tainted supplement though? I think that's a little harsh.

It's so muddled at middle let bisping defend against hendo in Britain. They both deserve it and it will sell. Weidman/rockhold & jacare/Romero rematches.

I know he didn't do it knowingly but he still gained an unfair advantage, I like Romero and I think it's a shame he didn't take up MMA sooner but he needs another fight before a shot IMO.

Matches like these are becoming a problem in the UFC, Hendo in no way deserves the shot after beating Lombard who has proven himself to not really be that good

I think Aldo v Edgar 2 is the most interesting fight on 200. I wonder were Aldo is mentally after his last outing? TAte v Nunes and Pena v Zingano are good on paper too

Hmmm I still think Jones Cormier tops it just because of the hatred. Just basing it on the fight itself then yeah Aldo Edgar is more well matched. Interesting to see if Cain can recapture some of his old form. Sanchez Lauzon is a real fan-friendly fight.

Does this card beat the 1.6 million PPV buys from UFC 100?

after UFC199 I think Hendo deserves a shot at the MW Title and a rematch with Bisping...

I do wonder if the increased drug testing may impact on Aldo.

agreed. It would be a 50/50 fight.
Rockhold and Weidman both coming off losses could face off and fight the winner...

I'm not too sure his striking would have ever gotten up to par, even without all the health issues. He looked completely clueless when he faced a high level striker with good wrestling. I doubt any version of Lesnar gets past the likes of Cain, Overeem, JDS, Miocic, Hunt...

PHENOMINAL CARD!!!

The most stacked card I can ever remember seeing.

Mini Mendes looks to be in some hot water...
"The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Chad Mendes of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection.

Looking forward to Jones v cormier for sure. It's a more suitable headliner than Diaz/ macgregor for such a card too

McGregor/Diaz will do gigantic numbers on its own. Business wise it's more suitable, no way Jones/Cormier is a bigger draw or a tougher to predict fight.
