Imagine being some middleclass metropolitan leftist that loves protesting for the sake of protesting, then coming face-to-face with an Iranian woman who fled the regime there. Just standing there, like a fvcking melon. Another leftist loser, a total embarrassment.

Yes, I think when the Iranian regime turned the guns on yens of thousands of it's own people who were protesting for secular democracy, that was the moment that regime should have been terminated with great force. This same regime are also desperate to develop nuclear weapons and are getting closer year on year, they need to be obliterated. It's a shame Trump is showing such weakness atm, hopefully he'll take more decisive action soon.

Does anyone seriously think its because of regime change why the USA are there? I think sometimes people forget that Trump had 4 years between 2017-2021 - the regime was the same then. This is purely about Oil from a USA perspective.

It's about whatever the wonderful, amazing, beautiful, charming, intelligent greatest Pwesident, Dwonald J Twump, says it's about. :salut:
If it's about regime change, changing from an old guy to his younger son, then that's what it's about. :salut:
If it's about Iran being 2 weeks from developing nuclear weapons after originally obliterating their nuclear facilities several months ago, then that's what it's about. :salut:
If it's about the freedom of the people whilst civilians and schools get bombed and then screaming for more bombs to be dropped, then that's what it's about. :salut:

No I don't think that's necessary, I'm sure the US could obliterate them from the sky easily enough.

Looks like Trump is itching to pull the trigger on leaving NATO - perhaps he can start actively aiding his buddy Putin with arms and maybe even put boots on the ground.

Trump has always hated Europe, he rightly thinks the Europeans look down their nose at him, because he is a classless imbecile with no taste or style, and no knowledge of anything other than how to game the system in his own favour.

Europe needs to get it's shit together and fast - we relied on America, but that ship has sailed. Europe, despite it's perceived weakness is the 2nd biggest economy after the US

I am sure there will be a great deal of frantic back channel communication between the US military and European military commanders, because those in command know that Russia is never going to truly be Americas ally, and will do everything it can to either destroy the US, or in fact, take it over by covert subterfuge.

The coalition is bursting at the scenes - Trump's idea of NATO, is that America does whatever it wants, and it's allies follow it into war, no matter what the risks, or whether it is illegal.

America is the only country that triggered article 5, and allies gave the lives of it's sons, but article 5 is about being attacked, not starting foreign wars without any good reason.

I don't know that it's even about oil.

I think Trump has been talked into it by Netanyahu and fat warmonger Lindsay Graham.

Trump was, as usual, acting on impulse with oil, Netanyahu, and the Epstein files on his mind.

She should be protesting outside the CIA's head office or MI6's head office, they were the one's who stole Iran's democracy, the Islamic nutjobs in power now didnt overthrow a democracy, they overthrew a brutal dictator

It doesn't count, according to Ricky. Nothing counts unless it paints anybody with left wing views in a bad light.

Actually I can't recall which it is, either it never happened, or it doesn't count. I think it started with it being some lefty conspiracy nonsense, until I provided a link to MI5/MI6 and CIA classified documents confirming it - then it didn't matter.

All muslim societies are inherently wicked, and the only way to stop this, it to take them over and force them into servitude to the west and our civilizing influence.

Of course, there were people dancing in the streets when Saddam Hussein was first deposed - but as we know, that feeling most certainly didn't last, and the population was soon wanting rid of the US army.

Iraq suffered massively at the hands of the US - depending on whose figures you believe, anywhere between 200,000 and 500,000 killed, and 20 years of chaos and economic collapse.

Was it worth it? Easy to answer that question when you're not living through it.

I'm sure not all anti-war protesters are alike. The ones that have a clue aren't defending the present Iranian regime, they are questioning whether Western money and Western blood is worth the sacrifice when history has shown us the new boss will be as bad, or worse than the old boss.

The current regime has been in power since 1979. The coup you're waffling about happened in the 50s. Ofcourse, neither point is particularly relevant to 2026.

I disagree, isn't it all too easy to just wash your hands of something? Time we picked a side. You could maybe the case it's the Iranians that have been keeping the ME in a perpetual state of conflict for decades with the amount of proxy groups they have in several countries. It's best to kill a weed by getting the root.

You can dislike the Iranian regime, whilst also not wanting the people of Iran, who have already suffered enough, to suffer even more because of destruction to civilian infrastructure, and actually being bombed to death.

Likewise, people who protesting the Iraq war, were not in the main supporting the existing regime.

Of course, nuance and lack of absolute polarity is not Wicky's speciality. Either you're a terrorist loving wannabe mullah, or you support carpetbombing any muslim country, and there's nothing in between.,

That's incredibly naive to think. No regime change or lasting regime change in Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan WITH boots on the ground, but somehow it is possible to force a regime change in Iran with just bombing? They have close to a million troops, why would they ever give in? Especially to a known liar and dealbreaker like Trump?
