Why not? It's the biggest fight out there

AJ is already in shape, big money and a route straight back.

Fury wants big fights, he wants the money, he looks like he is already in shape

The public will lap it up, let's get it on!

A decent warm-up for the Gypsy King, while the Ukrainian middleweight tries to find some confidence.

It's got to be in the UK really to enable it to be free entry and reward the fans.

I wonder which terrestrial channel will be showing it?

Presumably, he will box Uysk that same evening as Fury said he can beat them both on the same night.

Fury will of course use this as an opportunity to try and get the lion's share of the purse.

It's obviously a bit fight if it happens, even now - but I find it hard to believe they're going to negotiate this in time for December.

Doesn't happen.

I definitely believe this is happening, Tyson wouldn’t just say something unless he was deadly serious.

For the money Fury and Joshua will want, it will need site fees, even though the fight has come 3-4 years too late.

Maybe they won’t get 70m each like they could’ve expected a couple of years ago but surely a huge stadium ppv event in the uk could bring them 20m each which is a lot more than they’d get for tick over fights

I think Fury is effectively semi-retired - he will come back for collossal paydays, but he's not much interest otherwise.

The sad thing is, a fight with Joshua is probably bigger than a fighter with the winner Usyk, it definitely should be on home soil, so the fans can get to attend - but I doubt that is the case. Fury and Joshua would rather fight in a dead stadium with a half arsed crowd and make bigger money.

The only offer on the table will be like 70-30, nevertheless it's still the biggest payday for AJ out there

Yeah, maybe 65-35 at a push.

Can’t argue with that. Boxing’s in a right mess. So many massive fights either don’t happen or happen way too late - Crawford Spence seems to be falling by the wayside too.

i am starting to wonder if he is just deliberately playing up to the stereotypes now, kind of like Froch with the 80,000 thing. the outlandishness of his announcements doesn't seem remotely intended to convince anyone.

I doubt this fight happens but if it does I think AJ will have to accept a 75-25 purse. He’s lost 3 in his last 5 and he’s getting a shot at the title of the back of a loss.

If this is the case Eddie will say Fury is ridiculous with his demands. Fury will say he’s lucky I’ve offered him a shot and he should be grateful for whatever % he gets offered.

Call me a pessimist but this fight will not happen next.

People somehow still seem to believe him (we basically get a new thread on here whenever he randomly calls someone out on Twitter), so why not play up to it.
