Would imagine there would be enough people in london that would go , just for the event ,, but i think you would have to be crazy to travel from Manchester , Liverpool , Newcastle or somewhere outside of London

It’s like a bunch of lemmings on twitter jumping on every comments section to repeat the same stuff over and again.

Yes, barring an act of God, he probably can’t win and we’ve seen it twice before, but the reality is Chisora is likely to give us a better fight than Whyte’s pathetic effort against Fury.

Dubois-Larena is a decent Heavyweight fight.

Mendy-Barinkych is a solid 50/50 on paper.

They are not getting my money though, as I am being more choosy these days.
Mendy?
Seriously? A 37 year old lightweight who hasn't had a meaningful fight since his loss to Luke Campbell over 4 years ago? I thought he had retired

Anyone going to this?

I could see fury coming out and saying he has a niggle this week and then pulling the pin on the show. This could be a real embarrassment if the biggest draw (according to fwank) has a half full stadium vs another ppv fighter.

They will be giving tickets away at the local boxing clubs hopefully.
I don't think it will end up looking too empty. Casuals love a free ticket, as long as they didn't see Fury Chisora 2

Again, purely anecdotal, but even knowing how weak the bill is i've been surprised by the fact that I've heard no-one talking about going or even considering it. Central London was heaving at the weekend and all the chat seems very Christmas-focused. Add in everything else from the fact that you've got a cost of living crisis through to the fact the stadium isn't that easy to get to and from unless you're already in north London and i'm not as convinced as you about the London-based turnout.
As others have said on here, will need a big push from boxers themselves and boxing community to get bums on seats, but given the current forecast is that it'll be around 4-5 degrees C on the night I don't know how impactful that will be.

It hasn’t sold as well as they expected but there will still be c.50,000 there. That’s still bloody good considering the price of tickets, the quality of the main event coupled with the cost of living crisis.

Has there been a December fight in the U.K. that has had a bigger attendance?

I’m not going to buying it or watching it. Given the amount of boxing/rugby/football I watched this weekend just gone, I’m giving my wife control of the remote and will be getting up early to catch the Chocolatito card.

i know Calzaghe vs Kessler was early November, and that had about 50k there, but they had the roof closed at the Principality. Then you had Bruno vs Lewis in early October at Cardiff Arms Park.
I remember going to see Hatton at the Etihad in late May and even that was brassic by the end

I really hope Fury/Chisora 3 is a raging success.

I hope the fight itself is all action and I also hope there are a number of knockdowns.

Finally I hope Del Boy wins and causes one of the biggest shocks in British Boxing history.

You are now awake …

The gate wont hit 30,000.
Tyson decides to get behind his jab.
It p*sses down with rain.
The undercard is sh*te.
The fight ends in controversy.
Tyson announces his retirement.

The forecast is for a dry evening, 5deg but feeling like 3deg at 9pm which is going to be pretty cold sat there even if you only see the Fury and the DD fight. I wonder if they will be giving out blankets to keep people warm or free soup at ringside ?
I'm not sure that there has ever been an outside fight is such a temperature and how it will affect the boxers is another question ?

Ya wanna walk second that’s for sure. I’d be leaving my opponent out there for a gooood stint while I’m staying warm hitting pads.

Good thing is there both use to the cold I guess, not like it’s a Mexican or Cuban who would just die in that cold waiting… (when I lived in mex the guy I rented my room from would wear a hoodie if it got bellow 25 degrees C…. )

Never mind the fighters, I can picture the crowd getting grumpy if there are lacklustre fights combined with long waits. Heck, I would be too if it was 5° and had to listen to Neil bloody Diamond for the umpteen time, I'm getting grumpy just thinking about it

Imagine if the fight is a replay of the 2014 bore and everyone sat there freezing their balls off ? Might be nobody left in the ground by the end

Or, sadly, a coke and booze fuelled seat throwing melee :verysad:
