I know what you mean but I just see her being too strong and powerful for Rhonda. Rousey herself defo didn't want the fight. It was there for a while for her.
I don't think the UFC wanted the fight. Cyborg still maintains she can't make 135, so where was the upside? If Cyborg won the division would have been left with a paper champ with weakened drawing power.

The way things are going, the smart money should be on Woodley this weekend. The only dominant champ we have is mighty mouse (possibly Joanna too but not sure how deep that division is).

Spent the day today watching a few fights(Mostly Aldo and McGregor fightd) and the things that it really got me taking where 1. I'm excited for the Diaz v McGregor 2 but I don't see anyway McGrgeor wins it. You can clearly see Nates timing is just a big off and they were still catching each other at about the same rate. The first round was really close and if not for that reversal at the end of the round it likely goes to Diaz.
2. Not only do I see McGrgeor losing to Diaz other than another flash knockout I don't see McGregor beating Aldo, last time they fought Aldo was so unbelievably stupid and it won't happen again. Watching Aldo take good guys down at will and mount them makes me thing that if Aldo goes for a grappling heavy gameplan which he should(I think he can win on the feet as well but why take the risk but if he starts throwing and landing those leg kicks he could probably do whatever the hell he wants) it'll be a long and painful night for McGregor.

Excited for Larler v Woodley as well, Lawler is never in a shit fight.

Agreed! Aldo is so much of a more complete fighter than McGregor is. The evidence of this is undeniable. If Aldo wanted to, he could leg kicj his way to victory over McGregor. But, Conor won the battle of the minds in that first meeting and Aldo's nerves looked to had been shot coming into that bout. I highly doubt that happens again. I am always extremely skeptical of the overall abilities of a fighter against another when a KO comes as quick as it did between Aldo/McGregor. I really really hope McGregor moves back down and defends against Aldo again.

I think Diaz is all wrong for McGregor, but I also think McGregor is all wrong for Aldo. I think if they fight again it will be the same result just last longer.

How about Woodley today?! Spectacular finish.
Bring on Woodley v Thompson

Woodley has sickening athletic ability. Possibly the best athlete in MMA.

The fight didn't last nearly enough time for me to determine whether Conor has Aldo's number or not. What I got from the whole ordeal was Conor was able to get inside Aldo's head to the point where he made Aldo careless. Not so sure that happens again.

That's how I feel as well. i think this is likely a JDS/Velazquez situation.

Reem and Miocic is horrible to pick, but I am pulling for a Reem win.

Pulling for Maia here would love to see him get a title shot(would've loved to see him fight GSP when he was champ TBH) but I don't know who will win. Maias pressure is really top notch now and if he gets it to the ground it's game over for most.

Basically what I'm saying is I have no fornicating idea who will win and how, there's a couple of ways it goes but fornicate knows which way it will.

 same.
I still think condit v Lawler was a horrible decision (watched it agin on fight pass last week) so I'd like to see Carlos get another shot too

Diaz was reportedly injured going into the fight. McGregor will fight Aldo then Diaz at 155 I think win or lose to Aldo. I think this cut is going to be his worst.

I get the feeling he will vacate the 145 lb title, Aldo will become full champ and make first defence against Holloway. Maybe Connor will fight Alvarez? Smart money would be Diaz 3 at 155, though I think the it would be bigger if one of them had a title.

Its definitely on, in the pre-fight presser McGregor said something along the lines of "Mark my words, this will be a trilogy fight" - I think they'll wait it out a while though, create a huge buildup and make it for a title.

Unbelievable really, Dos Anjos pulling out of the original fight did wonders for everyone's pockets!

One thing I noticed about McGregor is he relies extremely heavily on his left hand counter(I'm a southpaw and most of us do) but with McGregor it's worse than most. The key is obviously going to be limiting right hands so he can't counter it. I think there's a few guys who could do that.

I see Dana is now saying that McGregor gets to choose his next fight. Trying to cash out with Alvarez I think. As I've said many time I think the Aldo fight was an anomaly(As in Aldo beats him if they fight again), LW is full of monsters and chances are Alvarez won't be champ for long so it makes sense from a business perspective for the UFC but as a sporting competition it's fornicating disgusting no one deserves a title shot over a majority decision win against a (supposedly) injured Diaz after being embarrassed by him.

As much as I respect Connors heart and skill as a fighter I'd have Alvarez, Dos Anjos and Khabib hammering him at 155.

I think people are really underestimating Connor after the first Diaz fight, he could definitely be a top 5 guy at lightweight, maybe even the champion, who knows.
I can't see Aldo's chin standing up to Connors power for five rounds, that plus the range, movement and timing is what makes me think Connor would beat him again by KO if they fight again. Joses best chance is that Connor is wrecked form the cut

I think you're overestimating Diazs relevance at LW.

The two hardest fights for Conor at 155 are Khabib and RDA. Those are two matchups I'd pick against him. Everyone else I think he has a very good chance at beating at 155. The same goes for 145. For me Edgar is a tougher fight for Conor than Aldo is. Stylistically he matches up better with Aldo than he does Frankie.
