Yes and no. If you do decide to gamble, I think you should only do so when the odds are at least fair and ideally favourable. Hardly anybody does that and it's one of the primary reasons why almost all gamblers are well down.
I hate losing mate, so I only bet on someone I am certain is gonna win. I won big on Banks to beat Mitchell and on Flintoff vs The Oklahoma Dumpling and won both. I was gonna bet on Fury points tonight, but I think he might stop Johnson. Either way Fury wins. Johnson has no chance tonight mate.

I choose the value method of gambling, haven't done too badly with it. Senchenko KO win and
Flintoff win last night were good recent results of 'value' bets.
If you can ignore the hype around 'our' boxers and look purely at records, then you can see that odds like 5/1 for Johnson are pretty big, he might not win, but I think he's much better than a 5/1 shot.
Flintoff was a complete certainty for me last night.

You are on a roll keith; if I start backing your tips can I call you a big fat pig who doesn't know anything about boxing if I lose?

They are canny odds mate, no question, but styles make fights and Johnson doesn't throw enough punches to win on points and doesn't hit hard enough to stop Fury. Only one winner mate. I'm not biased towards Fury because I'm his #1 fan or coz he's British. When it comes to betting, it could be Hitler vs Gandhi, wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
Oh, and by the way, Gandhi on points after a flash knockdown in the 2nd.

No chance. Hitler would smoke the pacifist's boots.

100% mate. I text 20 non boxing fan friends with my Flintoff tip last night. A mate of mine put a grand on at 6/5. Nice.

Just put a few quid on at 6.4 on Betfair. Bit of fun really, I'd rather Fury win of course, but Johnson not got a bad record so I think he;s worthy of 5.4/1

Bermaine stiverne 9/2 to beat arreola looks overpriced to me.
Ok stiverne is no joe frazier but he can bang and then some and arreolas defence is basically his face.

Dortmund 5/4 to beat Man City - Merry christmas everyone.
I'm sure city don't want to end up in the Europa League or risk any players with United at the weekend

I agree, Keith. Arreola's defence isn't all bad and he has a sturdy chin on him. It will be a slugfest for a few rounds but Stiverne will be going down, IMO. Arreola is the level above.

Backing kessler rounds 7-12 @ 15/8. Not sure about other fights this week yet.
Magee is decent but always falls short when he steps up. Would like to see him get a result though.

anyone fancy Marquez to beat pacman at 5/2, I thought he won the last fight pretty clear. PAC seems to have lost that killer instinct in recent fights and I dont think he will be as motivated to fight marquez again whereas Marquez clearly feels hard done by based on the previous decisions in their fights.
I really think Marquez wins this and the price is pretty decent considering how well he does against Pacs style, and will back accordingly.

I prob wont touch this fight, if I was to have a bet on it, it would be Marquez by dec. Think its 9/2 may be wrong (cant check cos at work)

Adamek to beat Cunningham at 2/7 looks like easy money. Cunningham looks shot to me.
Groves to beat Glenn Johnson... Anyone got odds for that?

Thoughts on Barker-Hope anyone? Barker to win for sure imo but not sure by mid or late stoppage or points.

I dont mind admitting the weekend started bad as my Magee/Hope double crashed and burnt

:P
But my MMM stoppage at 9/1 more than made up for it.

Very good work insider.
My next flutter will be a double on Adamek and Groves.
