It's so embarrassing that the leader of a country is resorting to swearing like a teenager.
He does that because he is tough.

Trump could open that up whenever he wants, remember you're talking about a military that could take out the entire eastern chinese seaboard in a few days, be careful who messing with.

If Trump escalates the war, the consequences include, Israelis fleeing Israel, the Gulf State economies collapsing completely, oil going to $200bb, a global depression, millions starving in Asia from lack of fertilizer and food. The added kicker is that China can shoot down the US economy any time it likes by imposing a blockade on the export of computer chips from Taiwan, collapsing the US IT and AI industries and US military production.

The alternative is Trump simply leaves the conflict, giving any BS reasons he likes. He orders Israel to stop its attacks. Iran continues to allow non-US and Israeli oil tankers passage out of Hormuz (at a nominal charge) and the global depression, and all the other horrors, are averted.

For any rational person with half a brain, the current US policy of Trump, Hegseth and Netanyahu has no sound economic or military basis. It is an entirely ego driven lunacy exercise. Even Pentagon generals are jacking up.

Iranian oil is now being sold at a higher premium than Brent crude oil

Iran is making more profit from oil sales than in the past 48 years, and has almost exclusive access to the Strait of Hormuz.

Wasn't the war more about regime change and liberating the Iranians?

God knows what its about now.

Most the Iranians that have an issue with the regime, don't even live there anymore.

Probably are some still in there, but how many in UK don't like our government?

Probably every other country, where people don't like their government.

To be fair - I don't think they will ever call Labour a regime - and there is a big difference between what is going on in Iran vs other countries to their people.

However, it is clearly not about that. Even if it was about Nuclear Weapons - which Trump suggested it wasn't earlier in the weekend ("they are continually ripping us off") although later also said this is what is about - I think okay, be very weary but ultimately the whole world is trusting other countries who have nuclear capabilities to not just press the red button - why is it different for the Middle East.

Ok (before I get slated) yes I am aware of the history - and I am not suggesting we go - "okay, of course you won't press the button we completely trust you" - but to bomb and kill hundreds / thousands of innocent people because they might press the button seems to be a bit much.

But at the same time - Trump is still saying about Iran "ripping us off" - so while it was originally about "the people of Iran" - the claim is the regime has change, now its about Nuclear power - well they are claiming they have already killed that off - so why the eff are they still bombing.

He announces he has registered himself for the ‘Jan Fada’ campaign to sacrifice his life fighting for Iran if necessary

More than 14 million Iranians have already registered their names in the platform so far, and are willing to be called into military service in case of an invasion.

I guess this is one of the major miscalculations of the US in this instance—Iranians are fighting for their very existence, whereas US citizens will be weeping into their big mac if the price goes up by 10 cents.

That is not to say, that US may not prevail - but they may have to kill hundreds of thousands of civilians, and destroy an entire country in order to do so, in other words, commit a war crime.
