Dunne needs go back to the same level as Munroe where he belongs.

I think because it looks very likely Dunne won't ever get his hands on a World title again.

British champion is not the same as World champion.
He was fantastic against Cordoba but I think that took a lot out of him. Another exciting addition with this Thai boy to an already terrific weight class. I'd like to see Lopez step it up and stop fighting middle of the road types. He has Caballero, Poonsawat, Rafael Marquez, the soon to return Israel Vazquez and the rising Wilfredo Vazquez jnr. Those would all be great fights. :TU:

Yeah, what an idiot trying to compete at the world level. He should be ashamed of himself.

Sorry I phrased that wrong mate I meant British world champions not Lonsdale belt winners, I just think there is a big difference.

But I said in an earlier post like you just said now mate Dunne will never win a world belt yet and I dont think Munroe will beat him. Ok Rendall's not a big puncher but he's a quality fighter and has done a tremendous job on Martinez twice, and look what Dunne did against the Spaniarad.

I never said he shouldn't have attempted to compete at world level, but it's quite clear that he hasn't got the chin to establish himself at the very top, as good as Poonsawat is he isn't the cream of the super bantamweight division.

I think Marquez and Vazquez are both campaigning at featherweight from now on. But Lopez, Caballero & Poonsawat make up 3 very strong World titlists. I'm not sure about Nishioka as I've never seen him.

Dunne just got caught cold by Martinez. Munroe has never been in with anyone remotely in Cordoba's class. It will be a really good fight if it's made. Fingers crossed. I can see Munroe eeking out a close decision.

Ah. Didn't know that. Looks like Gamboa will get some competition instead then. All I know about the Japanese fighter is that he beat Jhonny Gonzalez in Mexico so he must have something about him. Hopefully Lopez steps it up next year and gets the fights his talents merit.

Munroe is a different prospect. The two fights Dunne lost he did so because he had no chin and the other guys had mega power. He even won the first two rounds tonight but when Poonsawat landed it was goodnight. You can't really go that Munroe is as good or better cause he outboxed Kiko. It just proved he had a better chin. He's not likely to take Dunne out in the manner of those too, but who knows, once a chin breaks it breaks bad sometimes.

I would still say Dunne would beat Munroe unless these last two fights have finished Dunne altogether. Would be an interesting fight, but if they follow the usual negotiating pattern, Munroe will turn it down  First Munroe wanted the fight, then Dunne wanted it, then Munroe again, now that Dunne has no title Munroe probably won't want it.

Oh, it's THAT guy! He looked amazing. It was a sweet, sweet KO. Gonzalez was made to look a level below.

Yeah, I'm hoping for Lopez vs Caballero.

Well, Dunne's no longer in the driver's seat. I hope he enjoyed his time there. No big fights to seek out, you'd think. He won an amazing fight with Cordoba, but has been blown away - yet again - after trading with a short stocky fighter.

Just as Dunne's career was starting to show some promise, as well. I thought maybe he was killing himself to make the weight, but if a short slugger got close to him again...

Got to say, for the most, a disappointing career. As most are saying, too vulnerable.

Well done Poonsawat. 122 is still a good division, even though Vazquez is moving up to feather and has vacated his title.

Fair play to Poonsawat,he did what he said he would do and knock Dunne out inside 7. I knew the minute this fight was made that Dunne would be in trouble.

The whole evening was a sign of things to come, tyson fury, muffled ring entrance, terrible ring announcer, terrible remdition of the national anthem, the traditional rubbish commentary.

Wouldnt mind seeing Poonsawat v Nishioka in the future, two real attacking punchers.

What was expected of him in his professional career?

He was European champion for a while, and then won the WBA regular title in a fight of the year contender against a world class opponent. I would say he has had a rather good career so far.

Dunne would beat Munroe, in my opinion.

Also, Dunne was definitely the European champion.

Rubbish Dunne would not beat Munroe! Rendell beat Martinez twice, Dunne was knocked out in a round! The only people who think Dunne better are Irish fans!

I think there are a lot of non-Irish people who think that Dunne is better than Munroe.
