Take into account it,s been three months between the Oganov fight and the final for Brooks so his cuts should be O.K. If the ref does his job and keeps control of the fight then my money will be on Kariuki, if it's the same goose as the Oganov fight and it degenerates into a pushing contest then how can you beat a professional rugby player in seven rounds of scrum when you've trained for a boxing fight?

Kariz looks really odds on to won. With his boxing abilities, height and experiance it's a real big ask for Wood.

However I'm going for Garth 'In da hood' Wood.

GO GARTH!!!!

I'm really glad Wood won, I was cheering for him.

How one judge thought Wood only won two rounds is beyond me.

Wood has great heart and he is like an animal that just keeps coming.

Now with that said, I reckon Mundine should cut him up and stop him early. I only just realised yesterday that going into The Contender Wood was 4-1 and I don't think he fought anyone with a winning record. Now he is 7-1 and challenging Mundine!?! Seems odd to me but Mundine must be loving it.

Now with all that said how bad was the show last night!?! I realise that they had a bit of extra time to kill with the Junior fight ending early but what a boring production!!! I actually ended up changing the channel and just checked back every now and then to see when the fight was starting. How many times can you show the same clips from the show we've all already seen!?! How many times can you play the same dialouge of why they want to win!?!

But the worst of the night was Charlotte's most embarrassing performance to date!!! When she was dribbling and swinging the key to the ute I thought she was going to break a hip...

I wish the Junior fight went longer. The right that got Nader was a dozzy. I think Junior would have been strong enough to fend off

Garth did well. He used is rugby skills to tie up most of the night, but that was what he had to do to win. Good on him. :TU:

His cutting may not be a problem with a bit of a clear out of scar tissue and a good rest.

I agree with Marlin that Mundine must be licking his chops. But he won't get my money for a ppv again. Unless he fights a real opponent (no offense to the LMW Medley), i will not be tuning in again.

Was that Dib in the ring after the fight? WTF, can't someone control who goes into the ring after the fight?

And that shiela commentator....... and the whole production....not a good thing.

However, overall it was good for Australian boxing. :TU:

May mean nothing, but Mundine played for St George in the NRL while Wood played for South Sydney. The Dragons and the Rabbitohs have been mortal enemies since the 1950s. A bit of feeling, perhaps?
