I'm sure somebody that owns the game can tell us. There is no way T.J.F. was rated higher than Moore, Charles, and some other guys......
Spinks, Charles, Moore, Tunney were higher for a start.
I've seen the game's rankings before and if I rememmber correctly the 4 that Jbacca mentioned are the highest rated boxers at Light-Heavyweight in the game

Puts TJF's and Sav's achievements into perspective.

Makes my 'nearly there' season look quite poor :(

Hope Fenech takes the Bass fight..

By the way Rosenbloom had even better stats than his record of multi championships would reveal. The guy out punched his opponents in EVERY OUTING including his losses and was NEVER KO"D. Though in the Hopkins affair the fight was stopped early on a DQ By Rosenbloom. He was unfairly beating down Hopkins in the eyes of the ref.

TJF and Rosenbloom were "non top ten" fighters who were managed in superlative fashion.

You do not need the "best of the best" in skill and talent, when you have solid managment.

Of course in the case of TJF it was more about statistical anomolies and over indulgence in sim steroids. In the case of Rosenbloom it was of course all management expertise.

Yes, conclusively... For a moment I forgot that this was being run on a game (Title Bout Boxing II) or something like that.

But cheers for enlightening me.

I might also ask, according to the game (TBII or whatever)
Who is the top 5 ranked Featherweights?

I am guessing: Pep, Arguello, Armstrong, Chocolate....
(not sure about the 5th)... Saddler maybe?

Charles was only 10?!?! I thought he would be top 3, to be honest. The sim really is weird. First thing is the rankings of some fighters, IMO. They have to only affect the season to some degree though. Not sure what the factors are? Is it a fighter going on a win streak and getting hot? Is it just random? Every season we have a few fighters who disappoint, a few who do better than expected and one who comes out of nowhere to be a top fighter for the season, or one of the top fighters.

With these rankings, Stribling (5) was 1-1 against Charles (10), winning one of the fights because Charles broke his hand, up in the contest. Stribling was beat to bits by Bivens (Unranked) twice. Charles was 1-3 against Spinks (2), but 3-0 against Tunney (1). I know styles make fights, just sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to how a season plays out or where/how they rank some of these guys.

I do feel this season could turn out to be one of the better ones. A lot of guys, at least early on, look to be on the same level. Most people are trying to make the best fights that they can.

I think it's kind of unfair to do it during the season, just for the sake of match-up making.

I think boxers have their peak periods (look at Moore, started poor but became unstoppable). Also, maybe trainers play a relatively big part.

Why are you misquoting me? Morales was KO'd All you need to focus on is your shameful ducking in week 5.....it is preserved in the history books and tells one chapter of an ever growing series of shameful decisions by you on behalf of your fighters.

Week 5
#14 Nelson Calls out Marco Antonio Barrera outcome: DUCK, manager Crease
#15 Bass Calls out Sugar Ramos outcome: fight accepted: Manager madball
#16 Nelson Calls out Eric Morales outcome fight accepted, Manager: BossTycoon Nelson KO's Morales in 10.
