Sure Warren mentioned Joe McNally fighting. Great to see the lad back in action.
Thought Clev came across as a bit of a pr*ck. Too smug for my liking.
Can't wait for the Smigga fight. Solely rooting for Paul, and I hope Degale doesn't get booed because behind all the bravado I think he comes across well.
Are you a Bellew fan by any chance? lol
He is actually very quiet and shy. Probably sick and tired of Bellew hanging onto his coat tails.
Smith vs DeGale is the headline fight for this apparently and is advertised as such on Ticketmaster. Guess this means that there won't be the quality of opposition for the like of Macklin, Brook, Bellew and Cleverly that we hoped.
I agree with you and hope that DeGale ain't booed but think realistically that he will. The vast majority of the crowd will be behind Smith and i've been lucky enough to watch him fight in the Echo Arena before and the atmosphere was fantastic. I hope it sells out this time and that the Scouse lads put on a good show for their fans.
Yeah, big Bomber fan.
I always liked Clev despite him being a target of Tony, but I personally changed my view when Bomber had his fight with Ajisafe. Thought Clev was classless in his punditry. Felt the same again when watching the presser.
Reading ESB, they seem to believe there is a quality opponent or two for the bill, no names have been confirmed yet though.

There are a few MILLION reasons why, if they keep winning and Clev wins the LH world title then the fight would be a seller making FW an awful lot of money. Why fight now for pittance compaird to what the fight can potentialy make all parties?

And you think Tony came across any better? Only one guy swearing on the whole panel and it was Tony who started the "I will knock you out" nonsense All Clev did was state a fact that Tony is not at his level yest and would/could not beat him at present. He also said that if Tony was going to fight him then he would of been better doing it prior to him passing his exams ang going full time. On his commentry of Tony's last fight, what else could he say? The fight was bloody Awful FACT
Does anyone know when the full bill is going to be announced? Still only Smith V Degale and Gavin V Harrison confirmed. Brook, Cleverly, Macklin and Bomber still showing as TBA.

I know exactly what Clev said you clown. I just thinking he sounded smug, even though I largely agree with what he said.

Thats one reason, and to be honest I don't see Bomber ever reaching world level. When Cleverly wins his world title, there will be bigger fights out there than Bellew.
CLEVERLY AND MACKLIN OPPONENTS CONFIRMED FOR WARREN'S BIG 30th ANNIVERSARY SHOW
Nathan Cleverly and Matthew Macklin will face former world title challengers on December 11 at Liverpool's Echo Arena.
Cleverly will challenge for the Interim WBO World light-heavyweight title against the number two ranked Alejandro Lakatos.
And Macklin will defend his European middleweight belt against Ruben Varon.
Part of a huge card to celebrate promoter allegedly's 30 years in boxing, the fights will feature alongside Paul Smith's British super-middeweight title defence against James DeGale.
Kell Brook, Tony Bellew and Frankie Gavin will also be in title action.
Born in Romania, tough Eastern European Lakatos is a two-time world title challenger with a wealth of experience.
Among his opponents have been unbeaten world champions Dariusz Michalczewski and Zsolt Erdei.
Spaniard Varon is equally dangerous, with a WBO world title challenge against Felix Sturm on his CV.
"Lakatos knows what it is all about and he will be a real threat," said Welsh sensation Cleverly.
"He's fought the best in the world so I can take nothing for granted, and I'll have to be very sharp on the night."
Macklin, who wants to press his claims for a world title shot with a win against Varon, added: "I've been saying for ages that Felix Sturm is the man that I want.
"If I can do a better job than him against Varon, it could start opening some doors for me.
"Varon will be really up for this fight though, so I can't afford to slip up."
not many great matchups on this show, apparently. given that macklin had a replacement last time, youd think something better would have come up. disappointing to see cleverly and macklin in these fights, but in this business not all the fights are compelling ones. macklin's had 2 spoilers in a row, and while it's nobody's fault that barker pulled out, some of us might have wanted to see some momentum.
Personally I find this a bit dissapointing, as both are not highly ranked opponents. Surely there are better opponents to be found than this?????
It's no Mag 7 but it's reasonable enough. I'm sure it wouldn't be PPV in its own right, but bunged together with Khan and Wlad, I think it's more than OK.
One concern with Clev-Lakatos, though - with Clev himself apparently dissatisfied with the match, I hope he doesn't take his eye off the ball in training and/or approach the fight overconfident.

Warren has realised with Chisora vs Klitscko and possibally Khan vs Maidana as part of the card, he doesn't need Cleverly, Brook, Macklin in tough fights to sell PPV's. All he has to do is sell tickets, which Smith vs DeGale takes care off.
This card had the potential but its not enough to make me go, like everyone else has mentioned, the night of boxing as a whole looks fantastic but its one to stay in and watch with a few cans
