English teacher at a Chinese university. Looking to move back to England to complete a MA TESOL in a couple of years but might have to spend a year in Saudi Arabia to fund the MA TESOL. I will then probably go back to Asia - More than likely Malaysia.

Fella, make sure you give me a shout if you end up in Saudi - you'll need to take refuge in Dubai on a regular basis to escape the Kingdom of boredom

Jason, you can be sure as eggs I will gladly take up your kind offer! Saudi is going to be tough even if it is only for a year, the day they want English teachers in Dubai, I will be there like a shot Cheers in advance!

Would still prefer to be a boxing columnist for the Guardian but hey-ho, if you're not careful as a teenager you can end up miles from where you wanted to be as a 30-something.

new job title is assistant technical officer, i did a degree in forensics but that covered pharmacuticals, pathology, chemistry etc its done in the pharmacy department of the hospital

I did an agency labourer job at Canary Wharf when it was being built, and i had to cover the holiday for one of the store jobs , which meant i sat in the large shed with bits of metal around me. I was there for 2 weeks and in that time no-one came in, but i did find a huge pile of porn mags. As i was 19 at the time this was heaven.

I also worked on the African Queen boat for a couple of weeks when it did a tour thing here, during that time i had to fight off the desparate attempt of a buggering by the fat american owner.

i know from personal experience. had to get a family member sectioned. when it was all done, i read the SW's report. found out that i live in a cramped semi detached house, was assaulted by the subject with a frying pan, and that i'm called "mr lawrence."

....in all seriousness i have family members with mental health problems so have some insight but the part about apparantly assaulted by a frying pan did make me giggle abit!

With the Mentoring it was something that I had looked at for a while but I talked myself out, but then I decided to take the plunge with it as we only live once as I was on the dole. It shall be Deserter once I get my Criminal Records Bureau form redone and sent for counter signing by Mencap etc mate, but they had no problems with it just my signature, and I do not have to submit any documentation as they have photocopies of my passport entitling me to work, my driving licence with additional photograph, bank statement and Premium Bond Certificates which have my address. Then once it goes through to the CRB I go through, that a Carers Register (which won't be a problem) and Education Register before I can start (I have already accepted the offer). It will be quite rewarding than most... For example I have got a mate who works as an Estate Agent for William H Brown here in Woodbridge and he was bragging on his FB status that he brought in £100,000 in fees, yes that is good, but it snot that enriching in the long run, and plus I am not going to be always stuck in an office listening to irrate customers dealing with their insurance claims at RBS in Ipswich like another mate of mine.

One plus side during the wait it got me back in the kitchen to sharpen up my culinary skills though. Plus with the job I could be doing anything, if someone goes shopping I go shopping, if they want to go and watch Ipswich Town play I go and do it, it is just being there and supporting the most vulnerable members of our society and making them feel part of the community.
