He needs to come on Boxrec. There are people on here that know him, can they not drop him a text. I'd be very interested to see him doing a bit of a no hold barred PR exercise here. The hardcore fans generally control what the casual fans think, could be good for him.

Either way it would have no effect on my life, let the fun begin I say. Do you think he knows how to navigate to another website?

Don't think he's mature enough to come on here and take the constructive criticism or rise above the daft wind up merchants.. As a pr exercise I reckon he's better off letting freddie do the talking outside the ring :-). At the end of the day he's young daft and as a Muslim feels he's got a lot to defend, I don't mean that As a slight against Muslims just as with hamed he's a British Muslim superstar with a lot of expectations from the British pakistanis etc.

I know what you mean about skin colour but I always find it funny(as well as offensive) that any white person should have a problem with brown skin and then lay in the sun to get a tan. I can go as brown as any Asian and darker in some cases. Anyway as for Khan my feelings about him are based purely on his arrogance and the fact that he didnt fight for the British and European titles and took the easy route to get a World title.

That's why we all hate boxers like Frank Bruno. :??

I think it would do him good to keep his mouth closed. He seems to come out with some really stupid comments but I'm with good old Adolf on this one, I would've hated Khan even more if he was a Jew or Homosexual though!!!

Either he did not like your comment about hating Muslims or he didn't understand what I was trying to say about the ignorance and stupidity of hating one group or another (even with the shame icon in my quote). Either way he is the knob for resorting to personal insults without even giving an explanantion so that one could then respond. At least explain yourself FFS. I don't like to stoop to this level of name calling but what a thicko!!!

bluenoseshf wrote:There is a number of reasons i dont like him, if im honest the main reason is because he is a muslim. Im not anti-muslim tho, im anti-religioin so i hate alex arthur for being a christian. I feel religious boxers disrespect themselves and the sport. Why do they train for months and hire the best coaches who work there bollocks off if it is god who helped them win. Surely if there such better people for being religious surely they could just turn up and god will do the rest.
Another reason why i dont like him is he is over hyped. So far he hasn't beat any1 of great note. If he beats maidina then goes on to beat the winner of Alexander v Bradley i will give him his dues and admit he is a good fighter.
I think you're real problem is you're clueless about religion and thinking in cliches & dont want to find the answers and would prefer to be lazy attitude to those different to you.
Ill try and answer your questions. One thing I will rebute right away. Religion isnt the cause of all wars. Evil corrupt men who use the name of religion to start war are.
There is a saying in the bible and Koran "God helps those who help themselves". So if someone prays to be helped in the ring, he must also do his work physically in terms of roadwork , sparring etc rather than sitting at home eating doritos. His opponent will be doing the same ie training. But the religious boxer will ask God to help him win and protect both him and his opponent and that can be the diffference. So fighters such as Holyfield who rely on God believe in helping themselves so that God can help them
You may need reminding Khan had a senior amateur career that was nothing more than 7-8 fights before he took the unprecedented step of fighting in the Olympics at 17 and than losing to a great Cuban in the final. That is something that has almost never been done ever by anyone. Khan wasnt content to retire from the amateurs without beating the Cuban so he insisted on a pro style fight with Kindelan before his pro career would start. Now Khan and the guy who tried hard to talk him out of it allegedly knew if he lost that fight he would be damaged goods before he even turned pro so it was a huge risk and one that paid off.
Sure since Khan turned pro he has been a bit like Audley Harrison in all this Team Khan bullshit, and dumping Warren was ungrateful. He has faced a good level of competition but it hasnt been great. He is clearly a super talent but he is facing criticism at this stage of his career so people like you and I are waiting for him to beat Maidana, Prescott and a Bradley/Alexander......now lets give the man a chance.....than make up our minds.
LIke Gomez many people have become fed up of the two faces of Amir he claims to be religious but we and i say christians and muslims alike read of him breaking a guys legs while poncing it in a flash car and driving off, wearing the UK trunck one minute than the Pakistan ones, being in the newspapers linked with Jordan and some slapper of the week, generally acting quite odd. So we want to see the real Khan step up in and out of the ring. At heart I think he is a good kid and good muslim who has been maligned by poor management decisions

It's become fashionable to knock religion nowadays.
I'm neither a preacher nor an knocker.
But there is definitely a trend towards taking the piss out of a 'Gods Army' ford transit van pulling up as the God squad hop out to go 'preaching' about god (or bothering folk at the door step I'd prefer to call it).
Yet when a hard man steps into the ring wearing rosemary beads - everyone then dashes out a buys some, declaring themselves a Mexican warrior.
Religion, especially the symbols and architecture fascinates me. In my house you'll find jewellery like a cross on a chain, on my wall there is a big picture of Buddha and even on my mantelpiece their is a glass Buddha.
I'm a Roman Catholic, but you'd think I'm a Buddist / Hindu if you did a 'through the keyhole' show on my house.
But if you looked in my fridge and cupboard.. or the collection of menu's pinned to my kitchen reminder board - you'd think I was Asian without a doubt.
My Mrs is mixed race, but there isn't anything African in the house at all. Except for my leopard print slippers.

I grew up in a modern world, where things are based on fact. The fact is, there is no proof! Until I see it, I am a non believer.
I must also add I went to a RC School, where the priest got convicted of abusing many children from my school. Sort of killed the daily prayers at school, and any belief of 'God' that was forced upon me as a kid. My little step-bro is an alter boy too.

I have no problem with anyone's religion until they try and ram it down my throat (or make me follow their rules). To his credit, I think Khan is fairly private about his. Yes he'll say a prayer before each fight but you don't hear him bleating on about God in every interview. Unlike, say, Naz - remember that little speech he did before Barrera? WTF? Shut up and fight.

I had read some of his comments in the past, but put it down to being a kid. Since I started this thread and was directed to his twitter, I see why people dislike him. Maybe a poll option should of been "because he acts like a pudendum on his twitter"
I get the impression some of his followers forget non-Asians support him too from some of the comments.
