Well done Curtis! (and respect for your honesty) Only got to see bits of the fight due to Skys incompetence, but pushing the extremely highly touted Frankie to a split decision is a good achievement and should get you BIG bouts in the future.

Keep up the Good Work!!

Well done Curtis, you have come out of this brilliantly and have enhanced your status. This is a guy people are touting as a future world champion, a bigger man than you, yet you managed to fight him to a split decision. I really hope you can get some more big fights now you have genuine respect, admiration and support of the boxing community. This experience should really stand to you.

Fair play to you Curtis - God damn there's some people in the sport who could learn from your attitude... if we could bottle it and share it around boxing would be in a far better place :TU:

im here lads!

i wasnt ignoring any1 i have just been very busy the last few days.

1st things 1st. id like to say congratulations to woodhouse. he surprised me and most of the country. he fought an amazing fight and showed plenty of heart guts and determination. he didnt just survive he gave as good as he got and constantly made a real fight of it. he deserves the upmost respect and i for 1 would like to say to you curtis that you proved you belong in with top domestic fighters you are a good little fighter and if you can carry on improving then you could be a really good domestic fighter, and win a couple of belts along the way.

the second thing id like to say tho is i dont know how it was a split decision, it was a good competitive fight but if people are being honest frankie clearly won the fight by a good 4-5 rounds or so. im not taking anything away from curtis but he did lose fair and square. and am glad he has come on and said the weight was not the reason he lost.

frankie didnt fight no where near his best but that was partially down to woodhouse stopping frankie from doing what he does best. am sure frankie will go on and do great things in the sport and maybe this will inspire him to fight a weight bellow and fight to his full potential.

good luck with your future woodhouse you done yourself proud!! :TU:

the thing is curtis was out of his weight division, if curtis didnt let frankie doe what he does best then curtis done his job properley. fighters cant have it all their own way.the thing is curtis is a tough old style fighter no frills just get in do what he does best and try and get a k.o or a decision thats what people like about fighters like him. frankie was meant to win easily but curtis won on one judges score card so does this mean curtis is better than most on here thought or does it mean frankie isnt as good as people think? i think its curtis wasnt getting the credit he truelly deserved before the fight.well done mate but also well done to frankie for the respect he showed curtis at the end of the fight :TU:

maybe the thread should be retuitled..Woodhouse: Frankie Gavin is an idiot who thinks i have no chance...

kind of shown up there Im afraid. No one likes conceited arrogance and in this case its come home to roost.

Well done curtis shame you didnt get the win but a moral victory nonetheless.

Well down Curtis.....a bit of a wake up call for Gavin, me thinks.

Surprised a lot of people and hopefully you can build on that momentum. Frankie said about dropping down to LW, so any possibilities about a return?

I think Mr Gavin needs to think seriously about MAINTAINING his weight before talking about DROPPING a weight.
