haha
I think virtually worthless to be honest fella and you've touched on the reasons why. No real market for them any more given what's available on your laptop in the privacy of your own home.Final round wrote:how much would a porno mag be worth these days you only see them in backwater service stations for the truckers who aint got a 3g phone.
Maybe the paper barons on here could fill me in.
and no i don't want to step into David Sullivans sweaty moccasins.
I'm gonna up my offer to £9-dead, plus all the fries you can eat in one sitting plus barbeque wings and garlic bread every night for a week.Glyn Leach wrote:No garlic bread or barbecue wings? Glyn - I've just had an off-line conversation with Jon and in true 'Dragon's Den' style we'll offer you two margaritas with pepperoni topping and an Oscar De La Hoya blow-up doll (never been used before) for 51% of your business

Unless of course you use the mag as a walking advert for your online porn empire.

My good god man how little you know, the world is on the slide, do you think really all movies are given away to TV stations.MachoMan09 wrote:Jon, Porn-for-profit is on the slide. That's a stone cold fact. Yes, porn is probably more popular than ever but there is so much free stuff out there that turning a decent profit out of the business is getting harder by the day. I'm sure there are still people turning over enough to keep them in deep-fried Mars bars and Tennent's Super-Strength but the day of the 'porn baron' is pretty much over.Jon Saxon wrote:MachoMan09 wrote: How does that even make a glimmer of sense if the magazines on the top shelf are just gathering dust? Mate that doesn't even deserve a proper response, however it had better make sense to me or else 'I'm fuked.
Having been deeply involved in worldwide I.P. licensing for 22 years I will grant you some 'nachotime' and say that online porn is worth BILLIONS and IF you have the ken to tap into it properly then you my 'macho son' will be minted.
You would not believe the market for porn licensing to TV stations & also hardcopy and online downloads, some of these gals have thousands (and in this case LESS IS MORE but I wont go into that as it's currently in the process of getting protected) of mad fans who will buy their used bog roll at the drop of a poop.
However IF you REALLY want me to go into specifics as how to go about it you will have to pay me as these kind of chats usually end with a cheque for me.
As for the decline of online Porn? FF's we are in a recession & there's one dumb cock wrencher (with Paypal or C/Card) born every.....
Hope this helps
Just wondered about the name, thank god it wasn't hector I wouldn't have talked to you again!MachoMan09 wrote:Jon, when porn was still taboo and the internet was in its infancy there were people making money out of:Jon Saxon wrote:My good god man how little you know, the world is on the slide, do you think really all movies are given away to TV stations.MachoMan09 wrote: Jon, Porn-for-profit is on the slide. You are funny Mr Macho,
BTW The Macho time moniker, Randy or Hector or even maybe even (at a push) 'Karate Ralph?
I'm curious as to why anyone would be a fan of Hector?
DVDs
Mags
Websites
Adult Channel and similar
Peep shows/movies
Now:
Porn DVD sales have plummeted
Mags don't sell
Online viewers use free outlets (youporn, redtube etc)
TV stuff is competitive and is certainly not easy pickings
Peep shows/movies have all but disappeared
Most of the stuff online was never made for tv. It was made for DVDs and those DVDs don't sell in numbers any more due to rampant piracy. People will still make porn, though, because they wrongly assume they'll get rich out of it and/or they enjoy filming people shagging.
re: Moniker. On the day I decided to rejoin this site, someone had posted a picture of an ageing gentlemen asking "who is this?", nobody appeared to know, I worked out it was Macho Man Randy Savage, so used his name as my username and then posted the answer as my first post. Beyond that, it is meaningless.
