Would a guilty charge mean that Teper is not undefeated? IMO he should only be eliminated if he gets a loss on his record or doesn't meet the activity requirement.

I would say he should stay in. Ortiz stayed in during his suspension. The two causes of removal are a loss or inactivity for one year or more. Suspension is not one of the reasons for removal, unless of course he has been suspended for over a year. Sucks for the rest of the participants of this contest because basically he is safe for as long as his suspension lasts, but it is what it is.

January 16th looks like an important date, though Ruiz and Wilder (and Wallisch the week before) shouldn't have too much trouble. Ruiz and Wallisch don't look like they'll be stepping up any time soon (it seems the Liakhovich fight has put the Ruiz camp's plans back on the drawing board) which probably puts them in the driving seat for something like this.

If I had to guess I'd say Glazkov just scrapes through Martin, Browne gets beaten up and stopped by Chagaev and Fury repeats the trick vs. Wlad.

Orriz has stepped into the big leagues for now but I wouldn't be surprised if his next fight is a relatively large step down from Jennings.

Ortiz had a drug ban and wasn't automatically dropped. The NC (if it comes to that) will still count as a fight and if Teper doesn't fight for a year after that he goes on the Inactive list 'til he fights again. That's the precedent that has already been set anyway.

I'm still watching this. Michael Wallisch seems to be the worst boxer in the race. But I think he is the favorite to win this

I'm pretty sure Diamond WEAPON and ReggieDiggs are gone forever, dunno about albert_ryder or Stinger.

Glad to see Ortiz out of his contract and don't think he'll have any trouble at all with Ustinov if that fight comes off.

IWallisch's career surely just can't continue the path it has been on so far forever, can it? Still, everyone except Lucas Browne has at least a chance or winning I think.

I bet Fury gets in shape again before these guys figure it out though. Plus Wallisch isn't gonna fight nobody live anytime soon lets not bs.

I think if there is a new competition there ought to be another way of getting eliminated besides losing or being inactive for a year, which I suggest should be going two years without fighting an opponent who is (at the time of the fight) rated in BoxRec's top 20 heavyweights, or top 10 cruiserweights.

This will ensure it's not won by a fraud like Wallisch. If you think I'm taking this too seriously, I'd say you may be right, but while I recognize this isn't the sport's most prestigious and coveted competition, any competition which takes 5 years to find a winner (never mind 7 or 8 as it might well run to) is deserving of a measure of respect.

Deontay Wilder took out Luis Ortiz last weekend. That takes us down to 3. What's interesting, and I know it probably won't happen, is that it is actually possible for this competition to finally end on March 24 should both Browne and Wallisch lose.......
