Dead Mouse wrote:Heard clearly stated that this was a BO fight back in May. Then there was talk of 5 million each. A combined total of 10 mill takes some doing, but I'm also surprised this has gone to PPV. I assumed it would land on Men And Motors or Loaded. It's certainly a day of shocks and spills, believe you me.
Everybody knew this was PPV. Eeeeeverybody, nobody on here is genuinely surprised or outraged. I said genuinely.

I think they're right to drip-feed, Damo. They've ballsed up in the past, in my view, by shooting their wads too early. It's a long time until September. Overkill is always counter-productive. Crescendo.
In fairness i dont think the fight needs all the hype as it will sell anyway , Sky need to push the PPV nearer the time but the tickets will fly out , i cant afford it til 10 days or so , im kind of assuming theyre wont be much left left by then . With a bit of luck one of the lads i know gets on the undercard , that way ill be able to get tickets easier .

If you could fuse the sperm of Peter Mandelson and Rowan Atkinson, and use it to fertilise a frozen egg from Chrissie Hynde, you'd breed an Adam Smith.
Wow, I feel like I need a shower after that analogy!

Why does Haye do that head tilt look up at the camera all the time? He looks liek a wanker. He really does have some daft poses almost guido like...

Fury is developing an uncanny resemblance to celebrity prisoner Charles Bronson in both appearance and behaviour. i think it's the shades, grin, lack of hair, and the delusions of grandeur.

How many times has Eddie Hearn said it would be PPV? Too many times. Most people are going to buy so they can see Fury KO'ed.

Plenty of time for him to emulate Bronson yet

Anybody who buys the PPV for this is either a complete fornicating mug or a pikey IMO!

Not really. It`s only 15 notes, not exactly a fortune we are talking about. I don`t mind shelling out for this if it`s the only way it can get made.
I would expect a terrific undercard, but we will not get one. The Froch v Kessler undercard was pants.

Speak for yourself! £15 is a weeks food shopping for me.

Hagler , you posted a pic of yourself in the "what you really look like" thread a while back im sure .
If i remember rightly ,then like me , there is no way you live on £15 worth of food per week

.
In all seriousness though £15 is no big deal on the grand scheme of it all . It would never happen without it .

£15, get a few mates round, make an awesome chilli, plenty of beers sounds good to me.
My mates are all casual fans, so a couple of ppvs per year to get the casuals involved is ok by me.

i'd rather pay £15 for this than Froch-Kessler 2.

Pretty much exactly my plan (as it was for Froch - Kessler 2)

I’m of a similar mind. These PPVs keep my ‘causal’ mates interested in general boxing and I see this £15 as an investment to get them along to other shows that I push them into, especially if guys are featured on the undercard!!!

I thought he looked like Jason Statham. He seemed to be more composed today than usual. I expect him to be tripping over his tongue as it gets closer.
Whatever anybody says, this is an intriguing fight, and the winner
will be right in line for a K-Bro. I cannot see anything other than a Haye KO unless Tyson rushes in and catches Haye somehow. Haye loads his punches, and it is a fact Tyson falls easily, although gets back up. I predict Tyson will visit the canvas in RND 1.

If this is another PPV stinker it will be all Hayes fault.

Haye seemed distent and uninterested, hopefully he's not having issues getting up for this fight.
Fury talked his usual nonsense but i detected he was spurred on by a bit of fear. Not facing off with Haye was not a ploy he had planned, i reckon he bottled it and rattled of all that bravado as Haye stood waiting as some sory of cover for bricking it.
Haye 1 Fury 0, and Haye never left first gear.

eff that.
Couldn't any HW fight?
Fury has more than enough power to drop Haye. Haye has more than enough power to drop Fury but remains to be seen whether its enough to keep him down (I think it is). So it'll always be interesting.
You can guarantee it won't be a boring fight. I personally guarantee it.
