Didn't he stop a few world level amateurs?

Why would people think he couldn't punch?

I wouldn't pay him for that. Why turn up if you aren't going to throw a right hand?
I'll answer that. Sometimes when you get slammed really hard in the face, your game plan goes out of the window. It happens to a lot of fighters. Ken Norton against George Foreman is an example.

Yeah, if he lost a bit of flab he'd look like he was serious.

Butler wasnt exactly doing a great job of getting out of the way of punches though or even trying to land power punches himself.
Whats that got to do with Joshuas power?

Did you not read the Joshua thread after his debut? Plenty were questioning his power.

Yes if you lose your senses and are glazed over. Not if you are more or less upright for at least 3 minutes of the "fight".

Fairness to the new Bruno, he did well. But Butlin should have offered more, just throw your Hail Mary and if you miss then that's fine.

Well when you're basically giving an invitation to tee of on someone and you're 6'6 and 16 and 1/2 stone you should be hurting guys.

I didn't see that thread :OhYes: there are some contrary people though aren't there?

It was a quick left - right. It isn't like he wound it up from the stands.

Kell's got to perform here.

How many more 'one more fights...' can he have?

Not much can be said about that...Joshua did what he had to do against a guy that looks like a stereotypical nightclub bouncer but was supposedly game. After a few seconds it was evident that Butlin knew he was on a hiding to nothing and didn't really offer much.
I sense Joshua wanted a bit more of a workout as it looked like he could have got him out in the first but held back a bit.

I agree that he needs to work on his physique though

Yeah but he landed big shots before that combo which put him down. Ps I think he can punch by the way, Im just saying that Butlin was a fairly easy target to land on.

I like Joshua's skills, and his demeanour. Very respectful, very focused and, it seems, learning all the time. My 9 year old son seems to have taken him on board as a kind of sporting idol, which I prefer to his last choice; Wayne Rooney.

I dont really understand why some want to poo poo a likeable British heavyweight prospect that looks like he might go places.
