Would be a better watch than this crap with Corbincolumbo wrote:Im hoping Bellew and Cleverly have a tear up post fight
That's gonna be the case when someone is stepping up in weight tho. And coming off big KO losses like Nathan and Tony. It would be daft to chuck them in with top 10 guys, if they lose then forget the big money rematch.columbo wrote:Yeah not the best. I dont think Bellew can talk that much either though as his opponent for his cruiserweight debut was pretty much tailor made.
Yeah true. Wasnt really a criticism anyway. More in response to Bellew saying Cleverly's opponent is tailor made.jameswilson wrote:That's gonna be the case when someone is stepping up in weight tho. The difference is incredible, looks like he's really grown into the weight.columbo wrote:Cleverly physically like Halling and co does look very good at the weight actually.

And quite a bit of it's gone onto his legs which is good. Skinny legs are never a good sign.expe wrote:The difference is incredible, looks like he's really grown into the weight.columbo wrote:Cleverly physically like Halling and co does look very good at the weight actually.

First fight at a new weight, off the back of a stoppage defeat, gets him a world ranking, good confidence builder and allowed him to grow into the weight against a smaller cruiserweight. Needs stepping up next time out but I have no problem with him returning against a fighter like Corbin.iamasadlittleboy wrote:...and the point of that was?...
Oh that's right, to give him a confidence boost...he might as well have just hit a bag in the middle of the ring for all the good that actually did. Fights like this are why fans turn away from the sport.jameswilson wrote:iamasadlittleboy wrote:...and the point of that was?...
Nah his muscularity hasn't drastically increased. To my eye just looks like he is more hydrated and slightly bigger in the legs.columbo wrote:We dont think any juice is involved do we? I hope not. Looks brilliant anyway.
Don't ever take up promoting for god sake. If you expect every fight to be a 50-50 war then you are truly deluded.iamasadlittleboy wrote:Oh that's right, to give him a confidence boost...he might as well have just hit a bag in the middle of the ring for all the good that actually did. Yeah we forgot how much water weight plays a factor aswell especially when you're dehydrated.jameswilson wrote:Nah his muscularity hasn't drastically increased. First fight at a new weight and he fights a bloated Light Heavyweight? So again the point?expe wrote:First fight at a new weight, off the back of a stoppage defeat, gets him a world ranking, good confidence builder and allowed him to grow into the weight against a smaller cruiserweight.
