Exactly. That was my point in bringing up that scenario.

Comparing boxers by common opponents isn't always accurate. Last week Galen Brown KO'd Rayshawn Myers early in the 3rd round. Myers had gone the distance with some decent cruisers over the last 3 years including Dimar Ortuz, Nick Kisner, Venroy July, Steve Franjic, Andres Taylor, and Alex Guerrero. I think Galen might beat some of those guys but he did lose a decision to Alex Guerrero. A fight I would like to see is Galen Brown vs Durodola.

What do the commenters on this thread think of the fight between Galen Brown and BJ Flores?

A tune up for Flores. Galen seems like a good dude so hopefully he makes a little money for this fight.

Dennis - I think he will lose every round but be competitive. I hope I am miles out.

Interesting cruiser fight coming up Stephen Simmons vs Wadi Camacho. I know both guys from the amateurs. Simmons was much better defensively and had a better chin. Simmons was clearly the more skilled boxer at that time but Camacho did have some pop on his punches. If the two boxers haven't changed much, then Simmons will win and probably stop Camacho in 4 to 6.

Cruiser Dimar Ortuz fights tonight in Hammond, IN

Dimar Ortuz won by retirement between the 4th and 5th rounds.

even though Glen Johnson is wayyy past it. It will probably be a good opponent for Shimmell right now, bet Glen is just doing for a payday right now.

Really? I don't think Glen would give Jordan much resistance. I would like to see Glen retire.

I think Jordan should fight a tough southpaw that can go a few rounds, like a Felix Cora.

I think soon enough a fight like that will happen. Jordan doesn't have issues with southpaws. He fought a lot of them in the amateurs and did well. He's only faced a couple in the pros but he has sparred some very good ones recently including Adonis Stevenson.

Jordan's recent victory over Joell Godfrey 17-11-1. Godfrey had never been stopped in his career. Jordan stopped him, tko in the beginning of the 7th round. Jordan dominated the whole fight. Jordan's record 17-0-0 with 14 tko's to his credit. The fight took place at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas 9/11/14.

I don't think its the fighters it the fact their not with manager/promoters that can actually get them meaningful fights. But build them up for a one-hitter quitter to cash out on. As long as they with small hall guys these are opponents they going to get until they get fed to someone.
