Sky sports give eddie peanuts for boxing so he can't have good shows without Ppv,
Actually i thought Eddie has one of if not the best deals Sky has done when handing out the contracts for boxing content.

Just read on Current Scene that this fight has been picked up by a US broadcaster (AWE?). Should make it nice & easy to find a stream :TU:

Right. Also, you could use a proxy and pay the quid or whatever to watch it rough AWE

Agree it's a much better bill but Gavin v skeete is not a 50/50 fight ! It's 70/30 at least

I wouldn't really know how to start with that, I'll stick to good old illegal viewing.

I just can't see this show selling on PPV in anywhere near decent numbers. Literally no-one I know outside a couple of hardcore boxing fan mates has mentioned a single thing about the show. If a show is going to sell then a real buzz needs to be generated and the average man on the street who knows bugger all about boxing needs to buy it in decent numbers. I can't see that happening here.

Funny that it has been the opposite for me, I work in a place with over 6000 workers and all the people who are so called non boxing fans are talking about it all the time. Saying they can't wait, where as the people I know who are hard core fans are moaning and saying they won't buy it .

I don't know how it will pan out Ppv numbers wise but I think on the last week when they hype it all up allot of people will end up buying it just to bring the lads over and have a few drinks and make a day of it.

Genuine question here....are you telling the truth? I don't know where you work but I'm guessing Liverpool or wales? sorry if that's an assumption but genuinely that seems far fetched.

I live in London and I no one I know (casual fans) are actually that bothered and certainly won't be paying for it.

its a decent scrap that shouldn't be on PPV. I won't be buying it, no way.

I'm guessing the fight's getting a load of publicity in the local press up there?

Must admit I'm surprised Sky aren't advertising this very heavily at the moment - I don't remember seeing any adverts for it??? (Saying that, I never pay attention to adverts so apologies if I've just missed them all :TU: )

I can't make my mind up which result I would prefer :

either, Clev to win by undisputable KO (clearly I don't want anybody to get hurt, just not a disputable stoppage like Froch/Groves 1).

or, Clev to win by a contentious points decision (as this would be mental torture for Bellew for the rest of his life).

Na a contentious one would be easier to bare for Bellew rather than a clear points loss because he would be able to convince himself that he really won in the first instance. With the second he wouldnt be able to kid himself.

I don't know mate, as he says himself he doesn't recognise the first fight as a loss ! (although he doesn't give the impression that it doesn't bother him .....)
