MUST FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i mean, who care about boreward or rematch, the the 2 best fighters at LH have to meet as soon as possible.

Stevenson has a chance against anyone if he lands that left hand but if Kovalev avoids that he beats Stevenson without much trouble.

like adonis only has 1 punch. you do realise that adonis is more athletic and equaly skilled and equaly strong as kovalev?

He isn't.

Today's Pascal would of beaten Stevenson. Tomorrow's Pascal is shot as f*ck. Haymon always likes to feed shot semi-stars to his fighters, so that fight is possible.

Don't start with the athleticism again...

And Adonis is (close to at least) as powerful as Kovalev, but not as strong. There's a difference.

It would but I think for promotional reason it prob won't happen but if they can make May-Pac anything can work out. Would be an amazing event in Montreal.

Adonis has impressive power and decent basic boxing skills, but his power is effectively limited to one hand. I think Kovalev has more tools at his disposal and that could make the difference between them.

Skill goes to Ward but Kovalev is unquestionably one of the biggest punchers in the sport today and his boxing ability isn't too shabby, it almost seems like every shot he throws has power on it.

I wouldn't mind seeing anyone v Ward NOW. Is he still an active fighter or has he retired?
Well it seems like he retired doesn't it, but he's trying to line a fight up now.
Scary proposition for Andre Ward because a division above him is Kovalev and a division below him is GGG.
If Stevenson takes a Kovalev fight I'll be very surprised, I don't think Adonis will want anything to do with Sergey considering his form as of late, he's going through opponents like a freight train.

   You got to be kidding. Ward will get destroyed. He has nothing to keep Kovalev off of him.
Hopkins went 12 with Kovalev. It's all opinion, but for me Ward is a brilliant fighter with a style that would be all wrong for Kovalev. Unlikely to happen anyway.

Stephenson has a punchers chance, but I'd see Kovalev stopping him very early.
As old as Hopkins is he still possessed one hell of a beard. Ward does not possess the beard that Bernard does. Kovalev doesn't have to land many shots on Ward to take him out. Hopkins was hurt really bad in the last round against Kovalev. Ward isn't going to avoid all of Kovalev's shots for 12 rounds and if you think so you are delusional. Kovalev cuts the ring off really well and pressures fighters. That not only takes a toll physically but mentally. Ward can survive for a few rounds but eventually Kovalev will catch him and it will be all over.

They would have fought already if Pascal didn't want 50% of the purse while Stevenson was only willing to give him 30%.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who knows their boxing claiming Stevenson is as equally skilled as Kovalev.

Ward isn't going to fight Kovalev. He wouldn't beat him either. Hopkins still has better defense than Ward, Andre is mostly speed and he holds his chin awfully high in exchanges. Kovalev by KO.

If anyone wants to see an exhibition in the benefits of PED's throw on the UFC fight between Dos Anjos and Pettis. EPO is a wonderful drug.

Yeah, Adonis is one-dimensional. Slow jab, left hand over top. Slow Fonfara came within an inch of beating him.

Other than Sergey Kovalev's power is his patience, steadiness and ability to maintain complete control of himself throughout.
Even when he's under fire he doesn't panic or show many signs of falling apart and goes right back to doing what works for him.
I think he has enormous confidence in his physical strength, punch power and ability to take a shot as well as a controlled killer instinct without getting reckless and over excited.
He really is a good fighter.

Stevenson chin is not as good as Pascal's , I think Kovalev sparks him out faster than he did to Pascal .

And Stevenson is a one handed fighter too .

Krusher took some big clean shots last night, is it a case of him having an iron chin or is Pascal not a big puncher normally?

Re: Montreal Card

Pascal is a solid puncher. He's hurt/dropped virtually everyone he's fought, but his stamina is poor and he often doesn't have the energy to follow up much, hence the unremarkable KO ratio.

Pascal isn't a big puncher. He stopped just one opponent in the last 5,5 years. And we know Kovalev doesn't have an iron chin since he was dropped a couple of times in the pros and was knocked out in the amateurs, was knocked down in sparrings. But his chin isn't glass one either.

Kovalev is a beast. Him and Golovkin are freaks of nature, both are punching well above their weightclass.

I give Stevenson a punchers chance at best if he were to fight Kovalev. Infact he'd be surprised if Stevenson heard a bell for round 4.
