If Warrington had fought someone half decent then he'd have probably looked more impressive and learned something.

Negative Hearn matchmaking has backfired spectacularly here. Warrington has some ability, he doesn't have to be babied to this extent.

The production from Sky was appalling, why would we want to hear from the crowd or Vinnie Jones and why on earth is Nelson still presenting? He fluffs his lines to such an extent that it became cringe worthy at the end.

4 minute round followed by a 2 minute round. All in all, not a great advert for boxing.

Bring on allegedly and Andy Lee later :bag:
The whole "Event" tonight was pretty pathetic.

Who the fcuk would want Vinnie Jones to walk them into the ring?

The 4 and 2 minute rounds. The beach ball in the ring. And Halling spouting constant nonsensical bullpish.

Roll on the ppvs........ :witzend:

Skinny jeans in the ring was my favourite moment.

With the exception of the last line (we already PPV via subscriptions why can't people understand that?) I completely agree.

Add to the list the awful MC McDonald who just makes you cringe.

Boring. Selby would destroy Warrington.

PS! = The Leeds fans. It's a boxing card not a football match. 10,000 piss heads chanting bllx. Fantastic - NOT!

I was there tonight. Great atmosphere, the boxing not so great. I don't think we'll ever get a good card in Leeds because Hearn knows he can always sell tickets off the back of Warrington.

I wasn't impressed at all tonight with Warrington. Feather fisted and nowhere near work level. Selby beats him and GRJ embarrasses him.

I didn't bother watching the card live last night, watched the Nurse fight then recorded the rest as wasn't in the mood to sit through the usual sub-standard one-sided crap Hearn puts on.

Caught up with it this morning, ended up fast-forwarding most of it. The Warrington fight was just ridiculous, presumably he's going to continually be fed undersized opponents a la Scott Quigg.

Wtf was all that nonsense with Johnny addressing the crowd? Trying to play to a load of fat, middle-aged, pissed-up, coked-up Leeds football hooligans? A new low for Sky boxing.

(Still, I guess they probably needed cheering up after losing to Cardiff for the 17th time in a row :OhYes:)

Agreed.

At least it's a change from them all spunking over Joshua knocking out a load of 5'11" fat fuckers.

Sky coverage is becoming a joke to proper boxing fans it's almost comic book.

All this aside. They have done an amazing job with Warrington and for a kid with no power to speak of he also has built an amazing following. That would be a scary place to box him and if you beat him not sure you would get out alive. It would be a very brave judge who scored against him in a tight one.

It would have been nice for him to get a Lonsdale belt outright, but I am geussing that is not a title he wants to defend given the risks.

One of the worst nights of boxing I've ever seen on SKY, whoever produced that mess needs removing. I think we will now see loads of intercontinental bronze medal fights dressed up as real world class fights to keep the Warrington band wagon rolling in Leeds although I doubt any real boxing fan would ever want to go to one of the shows.

He's already vacated the British title, Ryan Walsh and Samir Mouneimne are fighting for it. They won't put him in with any sort of live opponent until next summer when they can have him fight Selby at Elland Road, or they'll manouver him into a mandatory position and have Selby move up in weight so he gets the vacant title.

And to be fair to Josh, as I've said before, he's a genuine Leeds fan. Vinnie is a Leeds legend as well! Never heard a bad word about Josh in any gym. Don't put things on here, Crispy, you'll know where Nick's gym is. Go have it out with him.

Oh my god I watched a bit of this farce today, mainly on fast forward & having to cover my eyes most of the time: a new god awful low for the sky boxing team.
Vinnie fornicating Jones ?! Johnny and his usual suited and booted cronies spouting the usual bollox ringside, halling droning on and trying to convince that we're actually seeing something meaningful, rather than a load of substandard crap....1000's of pissed up football fans, and one of the worst boxing cards you'll ever see .

THIS is boxing on Sky :o

Card was poor. Atmosphere was great. A lot of people on here seem to hate it but each to their own I suppose.
