Even if drained Geale wins 4 rounds and hears the final bell, Cotto is screwed.

Miguel cotto raping his opponents negotiations - again. Last time Martinez couldn't even have his bad knees strapped up and the 40 year old had to come in at a low weight.

Now geale has to come in 3 pounds inside.

Cotto, whose 2 recent big wins were aided by leg injuries of his opponents Martinez and foreman, is taking everything he can and giving back less - the terms he demands v Martinez and geale take away anything competitive from the fights.

The funny thing is, he's too big for 154 and too small for 160. At 154 he's out of ideas and energy in about 6 rounds. But he doesn't want fully fledged 160-pound opponents. Hope he gets the Alvarez fight, at least they'll be even, one likes to fight middleweight a few pounds Under 160, the other likes to fight light middleweights Over the 154 limit. Will it be caneloweight 155 or cottonweight 157 .

Did someone say cotto is too big for 154? I hope that was sarcasm.

Cotto is by far NOT the best 154 pounder, not even to mention 160. I can name 3 or 4 guys easily that would beat him at either weight.

I agree. Lots of fighters especially at lower weights often look way worse. He had a normal look of a man who had to work on cutting weight.

I have seen nearly every fight of his, and he looks frail, i won't jump on the let's kill Roach/Cotto bandwagon, however agree that it's really not any accomplishment to beat up on fighters at there weakest.

"By far"? Christ, he gave Floyd Mayweather a good fight.

I'm certainly not saying he's unbeatable or anything, but he seems like a perennially underrated (I know it's a strange term to use for a superstar) guy to me. All through his career he's been an elite fighter, but he's never really gotten as much recognition from the more hardcore fans, in my view.

I'd like to know who all these guys who beat him easily are. Unless someone is going to outbox him from a distance, and that's obviously possible, he'll give anyone a fight.

Always like Cotto, the mans had to suffer drainage himself for most of his career. Agree he gave Floyd a good tussle. I don't like what he's done here with Geale tho but Daniel agreed to the fight.

Cotto declined to be weighed.

Wow, I'll bet that 182lb includes his wallet and mobile phone and a stomach full of food and water. I'd be shocked if his actual weight was over 175lb, no way is Geale as big a middleweight as Chavez Jr!
