Thing is, he's far more likely to get hit like that, as he's not actually offering much offence of his own. Whilst he may not get countered off a pawing jab, his lack of offence, invites his opponent to let their hands go.

Yes, unless he is banging people out spectacularly, how on earth is he going to earn any money.

I think the Saurelands are going to feed him to their better prospects, until there's nothing left. It seems they did that to me In his last fight, the guy who beat him was unbeaten and going places, Price may not have realised, - but he was actually the opponent in there.

Only that the other guy was with a rival promoter. Very expensive way of making a fight

I honestly think the Sauerland's thought he'd beat Teper. On paper he was very beatable, lack of amateur career (so I read), not tons of pro fights, you'd think the better schooled fighter would win plus Price had all the height and reach advantages.

I genuinely think it just came off the rails for Pricey, don't think there was any underhand politics or anything going on where he was really meant to lose.

It was certainly a step up on the dross he's been fighting, but I think Sauerland's had a big fight in mind when they signed Price up and unfortunately that hasn't happened for them. He could still get fights as people will want him on their resume and people love seeing vulnerable fighters like Price who can be KO'd spectacularly but carry power themselves. There's fights out there for him, just Teper to me was nothing and it's surely time to move on to something else for Price as he's just gona end up fiddling round and getting sparked whenever he steps up.

Teper was unbeaten with a good KO record, you really think so?

Looks like it's a blood pressure medication, which is also used as a masking agent.

Unlikely that his punch resistance would be increased by any of the usual suspects, I'd have thought at his age, his most likely enhancements would be in the anabolic steroid family to allow him to train harder, or some class of artificial testosterone.

Yep, Teper didn't turn pro til 28 and had nowhere near the amateur pedigree of Price, he was 33 and hadn't beaten anyone of note and carries quite a bit of body fat so visually you understimate him as well as his pedigree.

I don't think looking at all that, Sauerland thought anything else other than this was a small step up for Price, get him the Euro belt and then get him a big world fight to cash in on him.

Who knows though, surely the word in the industry from spars and stuff is that price is chinny, so maybe you;re right, who knows, but I don't get that sense from it, surely they'd have fed him to one of their own prospects, not a rival promoter's on a rival show.

Ahh my mistake, thought Teper was one of theres - perhaps though they have that dreaded word - options.

I think they would have taken Price's amateur pedigree with a large dose of salt, given that he had had the shit kicked out of him twice in quick succession the moment he stepped up his level of competition.

Teper was on a good run, and if they did have options, then it was kind of a 'shit or bust' for Price.

The fact is, he's now at the 'shit' end of that equation, and I don't see what any promoter can do with him, other than fairly meaningless domestic level fights, or the worlds chinniest gatekeeper since who gets repeatedly knocked out until they retire.

Hate to be so glum about Price's career, but let's face it, the Buture isn't fright, the buture isn't Pricey.

I wonder if the Thompson loss (2nd fight) will be deleted from his record now that Thompson has been found guilty of using banned substances?

If only they could take away the psychological damage as easily.

You beat me to it....

It won't help Price mentally in the slightest, and it won't improve his chin either.

Does make you wonder about how that played on Prices mind , I mean he hit Thompson down hard and he managed to get back up, could this banned PED have helped with his recovery in that 2nd fight?

She might be able to claim the cost of the wheelchair back off the drug company.

wonder if Fr@nk W@rren could get Pricey on the Derry Mathews undercard in November?

Nascimento? Lobjanidze? Minto? as possible opponents?

be nice if Price could build himself back up on B0xNati0n and get a fight with Chisora...

Anybody hear anything from Price since his KO defeat? Has he been hiding out in his Nan's house or something? He has completely disappeared off the radar.

Whatever confidence he had left must be absolutely shattered. Wouldn't be surprised if he's been in counselling since the fight.

his confidence can be rebuilt. Sprott/Cornish?
Some fun matches to be had with Chisora and Browne.
Fr@nk W@rren and B0xNati0n need to have a word with the Sauerlands and bring him back to the UK.
Derry Matthews and, hopefully after a win on Saturday, Liam Smith will hopefully both have world titles. With Pricey on the undercard there are some decent nights to be had in Liverpool...

He won't rebuild any confidence by starching no hopers.

He now KNOWS he can't beat a Teper or Thompson. He already knew he couldn't beat Wlad. He could have pushed for the fight but said "I need two more years". Ultimately he is a shot fighter mentally at this point.

he'll get confidence back by winning.
Price isn't going to be a world beater, we all know that. But there is still money on the table for him in some fun fights...
