Neil Gee wrote:Correct that. I think King's got his second wind. I'd love to see Burns fight Crolla if AC wins in a fortnight. Burns is made for Anthony.
Ricky's past his best, but he's still got a lot more left than he's shown tonight and that will be more than enough to get past Crolla if that fight ever happens, he'd have to be completely shot to lose that fight. If he isn't getting that one he should retire, I don't see any other route back to a world title for him.

He is completely shot isn't he? Sorry but I can't agree with you. On this form - and on his form over the last couple of years - Crolla would take him apart round by round.

Sims is half the problem with Burns, he needed a new trainer but he should have found someone other than Hearn's yes man.

Petr Petrov and Michael Perez, who are ranked 2 and 3, are fighting in February, winner of that will be Flanagan's next mandatory.
Thought Zepeda was mandatory.

I hate loud music.

I don't get why most people want that rubbish pumping out at the highest volume.

He's ranked 1 but Petrov-Perez looks like being a final eliminator.

Ah right, gives Flanagan time for 2 voluntary's at least, looking like Derry in January then hopefully a good world ranked opponent.

He did enough to beat Figueroa, a solid world champion at lightweight, who came in overweight and was miles bigger than him, 6 months ago and got robbed on the road. He's never looked good against opposition like this, put him in a big fight and there's still enough left to win the right fights. He isn't beating the top fighters in the division anymore but Crolla isn't close to their level, he needs to beat Perez first for the fight to happen anyway and I don't see that happening.

It's a big ask in two weeks I admit but I still fancy Crolla to beat Burns if they ever meet. Crolla will have a game plan which he will stick to religiously and I think it will work. Burns doesn't do game plans as we saw in this fight. But it's a fight I would love to see happen so we could find out who is right.

He's stuck to the plan perfectly in the past, for some reason now he seems unable or unwilling to do so. Which one it is I don't know, Sims has some questions to answer about that too, he's responsible for the game plan.

Hopefully Crolla does it and they can get the fight on for the Frampton-Quigg undercard, then have the winner fight the Terry-Derry winner for the WBA/WBO titles, that would be a massive fight in the summer but politics make it unlikely.

Burns didn't do enough against Figueroa. Close fight but no robbery. I think people were surprised that he was in the fight and he put up a good show but still missing that vital timing and spark he used to have. Hit and hold fighter nowadays and hard work to watch.

Crolla & Burns are both Matchroom arn't they? Should be an easy fight to make if that's the case. You're right, it would be massive! Come on AC!

That one's easy to make and Flanagan-Mathews looks like happening in February, they wanted it last month and in December. Unification would be the hard one to make, can't see either side being happy to fight on the others show/channel.
