What exactly is the point of him knocking over a couple of cans again? He might aswell just cash out straight away.

Get a couple wins, build up some hype, get a few armchair fans believing he's back on route to world honours. More people turn up and tune in to his big cash out fight and potentially snares him a better class of opponent for his last big ass whupping?

Looks really good against domestic level opponents or journeymen and then proceeds to get ktfo when he takes that step up in level. He's already got that rep of having a glass jaw whether the case or not.

It frustrates me how all British fighters expect to get world honours. This has been mentioned on the Boxing Asylum and the Next Big Pod. There is nothing wrong with being British level, which David Price probably is. He's not World level, he's arguably not even European level considering his lost to Erkan Teper and Tony Thompson. Why not just fight a few bums and then go up to fight John McDermott again. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but everyone in Britain, like Paul Smith, are so obsessed at getting a world title shot they will do anything to make the "dream" happen. It was said on one of the podcasts that if you compare this to football. Its like having a League One/Championship team spouting off how they deserve a title shot because they used to be good. Leeds United for example. How can you say that you deserve a title fight or even you deserve to go for the world title when you're simply not good enough. You can carve out a decent career for yourself fighting domestics, more so than plumbing anyway.

Michael Sprott
Sam Sexton

I think Pricey would stop all of them early except Whyte, Prizefighter might suit Pricey he was an elite level amateur

Whyte, Price, H. Fury and Chisora, would be more interesting I think. Whyte and Chisora are already meant to be fighting, so just add in Price Vs H. Fury and winner Vs winner.

Price vs Hughie would be great but I'm not sure Fury's team would risk it at the moment and I think Price might want to look at more stationary targets to whack around.

I like those four though - if I were matching them, I'd go Price/Chisora and Hughie/Whyte

it'll be against some Latvian who'll offer little in the way of competition. They should bring over someone who will give him some confidence if he manages to win. He'd probably flatten Cornish or Allen and take a bit of a boost from it. Knocking over some fat cabbage is just a waste of his and everyone else's time.

I'd expect the big price to knock out Allen fairly quick

Price has great power and still could be in big fights

Price v Cornish would be good. Whoever lands first wins.

Cornish is pretty featherfisted for such a big guy and I wouldn't be surprised if even Pricey managed to stand up to his shots.

Who has Price beaten though? Cornish isn't great but Price can't hold a shot.

I think Sexton, Harrison, McDermott, and Skelton were better than Cornish, who is more of an area level guy than a British level one in my view. Price simply flooring Thompson also impresses me more than anything Cornish has done.

That said, I suspect that Price's confidence is pretty shitty now and perhaps he'd shell up even against people like Cornish.
