I'm baffled as to why anyone would have a fascination with, possibly an affinity to, these malign scum, and by that I mean gangsters of any kind. Some people seem to have a hard-on for these pieces of shit.

Maybe public shootings like the one yesterday will help show people the true nature of the beast?

It's probable that these kind of events get them even more tumescent.

There's a whole entertainment industry set up to show gangsters etc in a good light.

Ive just googled the woman whos name was mentioned earlier, Nicola Tallant. Shes not a bad bit o toffee. Then I remembered her from the crime channel with Donal McIntyre, they did a series of preogrammes about unsolved murders in England.

One thing I can't get my head round is how so many seemed to know there was a problem with the stable, but only say it after the horse has bolted

Everybody who doesn't have a vested interest, sponsorship deal, or really small balls has been saying it out loud since day dot. And those with a vested interest, sponsorship deals, and really small balls have been saying it in hushed tones behind closed doors in the way everybody is racist and homophobic when you're among your closest friends since day dot. It's not exactly kept on the down low.

It is a massive shame but hopefully this doesn't put people off wanting to attend an Irish fight night or fighters from wanting to fight over there. I'm sure it will be fine. Two small crumbs of comfort to be taken might be this being the final nail in the mgm coffin and of course the scumbag who died.

I have to say, i didn't think it was a secret....more people shocked by the connection over the last 24 hours than I would have thought.

If I seen a "cop" wearing Adidas runners, I'd be out of there faster than Usain Bolt.

I wouldn't go anywhere near any MGM shows, but I wouldn't have a problem with other promoters. MGM are the issue here, not Irish boxing as a whole.

Surprised Macklin ain't been done in, as he is the jewel in the crown of MGM after all.

It's not a boxing issue. I doubt Macklin is involved in the murders, drugs or arms deals. The boxing just enables the other team to know exactly where the targets will be at certain times.

is understood that he and his brother Liam were also hugely successful at laundering money through the used car industry and their key contacts in Birmingham.
Isn't Macklin from Birmingham?

Where do you draw the line though. DK/MGM manage a helluva lot of fighters now on FW and Matchroom shows.

Same here. I wouldn't have stopped to ask them for identification, I'd have ducked & covered sharpish.
