If testing wasn't mandatory for this title, it's probably stupid on the teams behalf to commit to testing after the Oquendo affair, No testing at all would be safer for any foreign fighter,
Unless Brownes team were suspicious Chagaev couldnt compete without assistance for his medical condition

Regardless of whether testing was mandatory or not, and you don't seem to know the answer to that, Browne chose to go with VADA testing.

Consequently Browne knew he would be tested, and VADA's stated protocol is to test pre and post fight. So Browne knew he would be tested and would have had to have been crazy to knowingly take a banned substance under those conditions. It makes no sense whatsoever that he would have. It would have been just plain suicide.

If all athletes had that mentality there wouldn't be a need for testing, facts are athletes at all levels continue to use substances, Lance Armstrong is one, denied & denied & got caught out. They obviously know ways around testing, I've heard it in the workplace, habitual users of illicit substances taking aspirin & large amounts of water before test day & continue to get through screening

Browne specifically knew he would be tested pre and post fight because by demanding VADA do the testing he was actually demanding that be done.

Browne taking a banned substance after ensuring VADA would be testing him both pre and post fight, is akin to taking someone intending to murder someone and taking them over to a video security camera so as the murder could be recorded for the authorities to use against them.

It makes zero sense and many here have already expressed the exact same viewpoint. Totally illogical.

Add to that the fact VADA sent him results of his 2/29 test on their own letterhead DATED 3/24
which is AFTER the postfight test news broke on 3/21, and I think it is safe to say even VADA
may smell a rat that has nothing to do with Brown cheating.

It is VADA going on public record giving him a clean slate as of 2/29.

Why else would they send him that AFTER the news broke of his dirty test?
