The general public aren't interested.

People don't like Fury because of some of the comments he's made in the recent past, they find Wlad's style boring and to top it off the first fight was fairly uneventful with barely a punch thrown by either man. Plus it's on a channel the overwhelming majority don't have access to and many won't have even heard of.

I'm aware "casuals" are viewed in a similar light to murderers and paeodphiles on here but ultimately they are the ones that decide whether a fight is worthy of PPV/huge stadium/24h attention etc.

joking aside, even though i agree with everything you say about it, i still would have thought that this would have taken off more. It is 'the' heavyweight championship of the world after all and no division gets attention like it. Hell, Audley used to generate a buzz fighting Danny Williams and Michael Sprott for domestic and even Prizefight titles!

The general public can usually be sold that a fighter is world class even if he uses dungarees to hold his trunks up let alone a belt these days, i just find it astonishing that they've not really tried to force it on the public

There is no buz cos its months away and also because one of the fighters bascially hasn't even acknoleged the fight is taking place yet!

Yep, and funds permitting I'd like to go, but in the UK, right now, this isn't a mega fight for the casuals and you need the casuals to sell 20k plus, IMO.

I have a horrible feeling the Klit gets a KO win.

Fury showed against Wlad he is a good defensive fighter. He isn't going toe to toe when he doesn't need to. It's amusing hearing people say Zwoad didn't tr or didn't want to throw etc, he couldn't hit Tyson, that was his problem. Combination of Wlads advanced years and Tyson's awkwardness and head movement

Yeah, I don't believe a word of it. He'd be asking for it if he traded with Wlad, and he knows it.

Just a thought - do you think that Fury could / has stipulated a rematch clause of his own should he lose to Wlad this time out? Or is that not possible?

Possible. If the 2nd fight was a more exciting affair and Wlad won, it's surely a no-brainer.

Apparently there will be an official press conference with Klitchko in a few weeks.

Klitchsko did post a clip of him training "for fury" after the announcement was made.... but for someone who is so used to social media it is a bit odd he hasn't done a vlog (I think thats the term) for this.
