Mayweather vs Corrales for me. Anything is else is uncivilized. Pretty Boy Floyd never had a better performance.

It was absolutely remarkable how Frazier kept getting up and up from some murderous shots.

What a warrior! He went out on his shield.

Well, yes he did, but he didn't make it to the end of the fight, to hear what the judges had to say. When you are in a tough fight, you have to get to the end if your going to have a chance at winning.
Like that one fight where that fella got knocked flat down, but didnt' get knocked down too many times so's that the referee had to stop it. That's strategery! And you have to have a plan for finishing the big fights even if your clock is being serviced along the way.

I mean, overall it looks better on your resume. Dontcha think?

This keeps getting derailed. Any more suggestions for great wins at 130? I feel some are being missed, here

Featherweight

Sandy Saddler KO 4 Willie Pep (1948)

Easily a nominee for greatest win in the history of boxing.

Pep's win over Saddler is equally impressive.
Sanchez/Gomez was another great one. I might have to go with Jofre/Saldivar.

Young Corbett II KO 2 Terry McGovern (1901) might be second best.

If sanchez-Gomez is on a shortlist then I think Sanchez-Lopez and Nelson- Gomez should be there or thereabouts as HM's

But Jofre-Saldivar is hard to top

With Chacon beating the daylights out of Lopez I guess its too early in their careers to qualify as truly great, but its sure as hell impressive nonetheless

The problem with the logic behind this and what most Mayweather fanboys don't know is that Corrales had an impossible time making weight, showed up to the weigh in dead on his feet and still didn't make weight missing the 130 pound limit by 2 pounds. They gave him an hour to make weight but even though it was announced that he had made weight he in fact never did, what happened was that he cut a deal with Mayweather to pay a portion of his purse to Floyd in order to keep the fight on because he needed the payday as he was on the verge of going to prison for beating his pregnant wife. None of this was ever written about but anyone at the weigh in could have told you that. That's why Mayweather looked so good in that fight because he was fighting a weight drained dead man. Definitely not anywhere near the greatest win ever.

Can't agree with Jofre v Saldivar. The latter hadn't fought in well over 2 yrs, and it had been almost 3 yrs since Shibata busted him up.

Dejesus' win over Duran was a great win. Not the best ever, but great none the less.

Tyson over Spinks was a brilliant win.

Not sure if there are too many other Super bantam weight wins. Guess that would be the winner.

Morales/Barrera, though most find the decision dubious.
Rigondeaux/Donaire

Morales clearly won the second fight. Barrera close but clear in the third. First was razor close.

I had the 3rd a draw myself. I felt like Barrera clearly deserved the first. It was a monumental effort from both men, but Barrera got the better of it. I had the 2nd for Morales as well.

The worst call in the first fight was that kd in the 12th.

But so many people thinking the decision sucked rules it out of best victory. Just the best 122 fight.

Yeah definitely. Morales' head hit Barrera's hip. Blow didn't land, the bump just pushed him off balance and caused him to fall. Even so though I would've had Barrera winning the 12th round, and winning the fight 115-113.

Then again without the knockdown call perhaps Morales would've had more time to have turned it around in the final seconds of the round, and made a draw out of it for me.
