The nine fighters ONE-UP I think I would rate them: 1ST GEORGE FOREMAN 2ND LARRY HOLMES 3RD JOE FRAZIER 4TH ROCKY MARCIANO 5TH (ties) EVANDER- LISTON- JACK J- JACK D. +5/-5: LENNOX LEWIS!
If I had to rate them for historical significance/talent then.... that's more of brain twister! If I rated them for historical perspective I'll say this: LISTON MIGHT BE LAST PLACE. Though, because of how the media has shrunk on the Sport, Evander would be only a notch above Liston. The early days more rich! You'd think George would probably handle everyone in a FIGHT though!

Oh yeah, Tyson. Forget him. Could he bang with Foreman? No but maybe. Mike was a great one but his was instant. His look is different. He DID NOT meet too great of fighters coming up.
I used to know him. He was a really polite nice guy. He didn't have anything on me at the time. And I next to and with bigger stars than he was then. But..Mike Tyson despite the losses to Tillman at 84 Olympic Trials, developed quickly.
My good friend BobTaylor TAB introduced Mike Tyson to the world...at large.

The way I figure, Tyson had too much speed for Foreman because he blitzed Alex Stewart and Lou Savarese and George couldn't hurt them... Mike didn't go crazy when he faced big guys like Smith, Tucker, Ruddock, or Bruno -- Cus told Mike, "If a man has you by 6" and 40 pounds, don't try to run over him. You're not going to kill everyone. You won't knock everyone out. Try a few jabs on a big guy. Get him to throw something so you can get openings. You're much faster but don't expect to knock him out. You have to beat some guys on points and there's nothing wrong with that. The judges can tell who's winning. If you're more famous and a bigger star, they give you the even rounds."
But I think Lennox Lewis was the best of this group because it's so hard to deal with somebody 6'5" X 250, with a tremendous reach, who's smart, strong, skilled, fast, well trained with a top trainer like Steward, and happens to be a real good athlete... I know Larry Holmes was a better boxer than anybody, but Holmes wasn't very big and strong.. Even in his prime Tyson might get to Holmes because he could punch so much harder.. It's like Michael Spinks had at least a chance to beat a prime Holmes -- but no chance in Hell to beat Tyson... Lennox Lewis was too big for Mike.
George Foreman was real strong, but a boxer like Jimmy Young could jab him dead in the face.. Young was trickier and faster with better fundamental skills ... and I don't see Young doing anything like that to Lewis who was well schooled.

Hey, friend Kalan! All this! Except..the FIGHT is true space travel. You can't write it out. To be fair. You have super speed traveling and that's it. SO...that means your teaching Kindergarden! : )

Analyzing "time tunnel" fights takes the same expertise as analyzing as a fight that going to happen next week... Except everybody is certain who would win time tunnel matchups -- but hedge around like crazy when picking a good matchup that will happen next week.
