Eubank Jr is class but the bottom line is he can't stop Golovkin but GGG can stop him. If the fight takes place Eubank jr gets caught and stopped by the middle rounds he will hit GGG but can't hurt him.

Chris Sr always had a brash arrogance about him, which convinced him that he really was THE BEST around.

It always useful to annoy me, because he wouldn't fight Michael Nunn, James Toney or RJJ.

It seems to me that this self-belief has now well and truly rubbed off on to his son.

If this fight goes ahead, I'll be very excited. Golovkin is the heavy favourite but Chris Jr's uppercut are accurate bad staggering.

This I'd not a mismatch by no means.

How long do you think Blackwell and O'Sullivan would have lasted against Golovkin? This is a mismatch.

I don't know how good Eubank Jr actually is, so it's hard to say how much of a mismatch this is.

What I do know, is that despite his strengths & talents, he has proven hittable so far in his career, his arrogance leads him to make mistakes.
Unless he sorts that out ahead of a fight with GGG this will be a serious and painful mismatch

The interesting thing about this fight is the Chris Eubank Jnr of July 2016 would probably be 33-0 if he fought all of GGGs opponents and would give the vast majority a thorough pasting too.

And add to that Eubank Jnr is 8 years younger, taller, longer reach and physically the naturally bigger man, then at the very least this should be Golovkins hardest fight on paper to date.

To be fair, you could see that GGG against anyone could be considered a mismatch. There's no-one quite like him.

Yes, I'd make Ward favourite, mainly because of him being the naturally bigger man. The two men are on a par skills wise, though with different skill sets, so the size advantage is enough to make Ward favourite should they ever fight, which I think is unlikely now that ward is campaigning at 175.

The way to beat both is by using the ring and silky skills which neither possess

It would be a bit of a war. I'd give Lemiuex the edge in power and Eubank Jr the edge in variety ( the right lead uppercut is a punch he lands more than anyone in boxing).

British bookies would probably favour Eubank.

Yes, I agree. Lemiuex would be BY FAR, the biggest puncher Jr had faced, even Golovkin who has never seemed much concerned about his chin, didn't take any chances against Lemiuex, instead picking him apart before finishing him.

I'm not too sure that Eubank would be 35-0. He could beat a lot of them, but I don't think he's at a level where they're all sure things.

Are you really that impressed by him beating up British level (and below) fighters? I think some people fail to put his opposition in context, and while GGG doesn't have the strongest resume many of his opponents are, in my view, much better than fighters such as O'Sullivan, Blackwell, and Doran. I think someone like Willie Monroe, whom GGG was slated for fighting, would beat everyone Eubank's fought aside from BJS.

No way would I see Geale beating Eubank jnr. The others are fair shouts. Geale was vulnerable and if you put it on him he could fall apart.

Mackllin beating Eubank Jr is laughable.

Guy like Chudinov and Blackwell took flush shot after flush shot yet made it deep into their fights with Eubank, who clearly doesn't have major power and needs to land a lot to get anyone decent out of there. I imagine that Murray could better the efforts of anyone Eubank has beaten.

It took Golovkin 11 rounds to stop Murray, but Eubank would get him out of there too Same goes for Macklin.

Two fighters who have competed at and possibly done enough to win at world level, yet they're clear wins for Eubank. What a load of shite. Maybe when he beats someone above domestic level that does something other than walk forward in straight lines without moving their head, we can return to this as it won't be completely laughable at that stage.

Why do you think Eubank would stop him though? He's tough, has a tight guard, and has gone deep with guys who punch harder than Eubank.

As mentioned, Jr. has to land A LOT to get decent opponents out of there, guys who are worse than Murray and no more durable than him. To me it seems like you're overrating Jr. and giving him too much credit for beating up limited opposition.
